Here's my rating system explained:
1 star: I was cringing when reading this, and I did not enjoy it. I either won't think about this book ever again or look back on it with no fondness. Poorly written or characters/plotlines I disliked. I did not enjoy this book. I finished it but it was bad.. I'm surprised I even finished this book.⭐
2 stars: I think it was alright but it had some major flaws that left me disappointed or bored. Felt a bit like a chore to get through. ⭐⭐
3 stars: A really good book that I liked a lot may even recommend depending on someones preferences. Had some minor flaws or simply was not my favorite.⭐⭐⭐
4 stars: a great book I would recommend to someone depending on their preferences. Enjoyed reading it and will think about it after reading it but may be less likely to reread it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
5 stars: A favorite. I loved it and I would reread this book. It evoked strong emotions and I enjoyed reading it and will think about it after reading it. I couldn't put it down!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Half star ratings are obviously caught between two stars because they simply don't quite fit into one of the five ratings listed, it's either falling short of the next rating or exceeding a rating in some way....more
