I am a former high school English teacher who now, due to illness, focuses on my beautiful grand kids, reading and painting. I am a voracious reader but a picky one. I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, traveling (my favorite place on Earth is Paris!) and, of course, reading. My favorite authors are Chevy Stevens, Tami Hoag, Harlan Coben, Heather Gudenkauf, Kristin Harmel and Kristin Hannah. My favorite books of all time are To Kill a Mockingbird and The Nightingale. I also love some of the great classics, especially by the Bronte sisters. I love to write about and discuss the books I have read with others. Although I never thought that I would move from actual books to ebooks, I am so glad that I did. I love my Kindle for so many reasons, mostly because I can own a book with the click of a button. I am not a fast reader because I love to take my time and absorb every word. However, if I don't like a book, I don't waste my time on it. If I don't love it by the third or fourth chapter, I move on. Life is too short to read bad books!...more
