No Informed Abilities (we are only told by the narrator/character the protagonist is intelligent, but they keep proving themselves to be as dumb as a sack of rocks). Or situations where the protagonist is only the smartest person in the room, because everyone else is dumb as a sack of rocks.
Please try to avoid Marry/Marty Sues/Stues, The protagonist shouldn't have everyone intently liking him.her for no reason. They should have actual personality flaws that are presented as such, and are acknowledged by other characters. The protagonist should have a drive and goals, and obstacles he/she needs to overcome.
