I'd really love to read a book set in Slovenia that you've enjoyed. It's the first book for a reading challenge and it absolutely must take place there for at least half the book. Any recommendations? I'll take Slovene and English written books. I'd really love to read a book set in Slovenia that you've enjoyed. I can't even remember how many times I've been to the library as a child and teenager, and how few unread books were left by the time I switched to a bigger library. These days I consume e-books like there's no tomorrow, but my favourite way of reading a book is still in its physical form; the feel of paper, the weight, and warmth can't compare to the new media. (Although a handy glo-screen of my Kobo is awesome for those late night reads that stretch out into early morning hours.)
Although my obsession with stories has taken a slight detour into a love for TV shows in previous years, I'm reading voraciously again. Books are so much better than some of the movies on TV, and there's far less advertising involved. :D I’m not shying away from book adaptations though, especially period dramas and sci-fi. Those are almost always a pleasure.
My love of good literature and reading challenges has made me set a goal of reading 100 books this year and every year after that. Let's hope I succeed. If I’ll feel up to it, I might even set my goals a bit higher.
