Then she stared into the mirror, brushed on glitter eye shadow, and added sparkle to her hair. Tiny diamonds glimmered against her black curls. She pasted three pink stars on her cheek, then squeezed strobe cream into her palms and rubbed it over her legs. Her skin glowed, and the sweet fragrance of gardenias scented the air. She angled one foot in front of the other and cast a sly smile at her reflection. A thrill rushed through her. She looked like an enchantress.”
