I'm listening to the audio version right now (as read by Derek Jacobi). The letters initially are quite short, but I'm really enjoying the stories as the years progress. I'll probably get a print copy at some point so I can see the drawings, though.
Here we go with the December read!
I'm getting this as a Christmas present, so won't be reading it until the 25th (unless I should stumble across it beforehand! No, no, I'll be good...I won't peek!)

This is my favourite book to read at Christmas time! I haven't started it yet, because I am finishing up another book, but can't wait to get into it! I love the pictures that Tolkien drew and how the stories of the North Pole become more detailed as the years go by! I hope that everyone enjoys this read!!
Mine arrived in the post this morning:)) it is so beautiful.. those drawings! One of my colleagues (who had never heard of Tolkien and thought the books were based on the film or something like that:)) is getting hooked on it!
I seem to have misplaced my copy! :( Maybe it's in a Christmas box somewhere... I'll join the reading if I find it, such a lovely book! My favorite part is the bear's little problem with the North Pole... :) (trying not to spoil it here)
After many years of hinting I would like a copy of the book, my daughter got it for me as a Christmas present last year. I've started reading it and am enjoying it.
Phew! Just managed to fit this in before the Christmas season ended!
A lovely book with some excellent pictures by Professor T.
