Ok, just finished Lorien Legacies book 3 and i must say that this book really disappointed me regarding certain things. One of those things is Number Four`s character development and his relationship with Sarah. What really pissed me off was the ridiculous way everyone accepted that she didn`t betray John. What the hell?!
Am i the only one who thinks there is a huge plot hole regarding Sarah`s betrayal? I mean, she says she wasn`t the one who called the FBI, but i remember her saying in the second book exactly this: “Maybe you should just turn yourself in and tell them you’re not a terrorist. I don’t want to lose you over and over, John.” while sending messages to a "friend" (allegedly). Really?!Who the hell does that while being reunited after a long time with the person she loves?
As a side note, what was the point of having wasted an entire book (power of six) building up a potential romantic relationship between Four and Six only to be ruined at the end of "Rise of Nine"?! Personally, i find this incredibly inconsistent and even almost outrageous towards Six`s development as a character.
I personally hope that things won`t remain this way in the next 3 books.

I haven't read the book yet, but I wanted Four and Sarah to break up regardless of Sarah's involvement or not with the FBI.
I guess some people would argue that the whole building up of Sarah and Four in book one, and to have it ruined in book two was a waste.
But I have to say that "I am number Four" is the first book I read were I thought the the love interest didn't fit the main protagonist. I thought they were cute together but I didn't think it would last. Or more important, I didn't want it to last. And Seeing Four and Six in book two made me wonder what I ever saw in Sarah and Four.
But sometime you have to go for the "apple" to realize you want the "pear". It is like Zuko in the Avatar: the last airbender. He alway wanted the "apple" (symbolic speaking) and are fighting really hard to get the "appel". But along the way he realise there is a "pear" too and he feels really confused about a lot of thing. The when he finally got the chance: "apple" or "pear". He goes for the "apple". He gets everything he thought he wanted. But realised it didn't give him the happiness he sought. So he give it all up to get the "pear". The best part was that there were no more confusion.
Four need to realize for himself that Sarah isn't right for him, to have a clear break up with her, and no more back and forth. Without a clear break up with Sarah he would probably have a "what if" with her. And that not a good way to start a relationship with somebody else.
I guess the author could stick with the whole Four and Sarah thing. Maybe even give Sarah some Legacies too. But I wouldn't be happy about it. And it wouldnt give me the developing changes I want in Four either. And the main problem I have with number Four is his lack of focus on was really important (defeat the mogs and rebuild Lorien) and his actions because of his affections to Sarah (and actually for his affections to Sam too). And to get the character development I want for Four, Sarah has to go one way or another.
I'm a bit to old to think the whole Sarah and Four thing to be romantic. I really think Four and Six have potential to a really amazing relationship, and I hate to have it wasted on a really bad twilight story. I hope the author sort it out in the next book and really compensate for Four shortcomings. And make Four to step up a bit too. And please no more twilight romance.

THANNKYOU! Someone who agrees with me! I know exactly what you mean! The second book felt like such a waste because of this one! And six was much more appealing than Sarah ever was. I think I had to stop myself from biting the book in Rise Of Nine when Sarah came in because it made me so angry how she betrays John but is still little miss perfect. She's always been a really week character to me.
I don't think I've ever hated a character more than sarah hart. she's pathetic and in the way. she claims to love number four, but I don't think she knows what love is. I don't think anyone knows what love is at that age. Their relationship is really annoying and adds no elements to the plot. I really hope that she dissapears in the next book.
Sarah is just too perfect. She looks beautiful, popular, nice, creative, smart, etc. First of all no one would just accept that their boyfriend is an alien that easily. Also the "switch" between damsel in distress to a girl that wants to play a part in a war. I feel like she just has no flaws and that's not realistic. No one who had the practically perfect life would accept that news so easily. Even when she showed some kind of flaw, later on she just got rid of it. She's an extremely unrealistic character and she should just leave to be with her family. I also ship Four and Six as a full time job.
ok first thing firs Sarah is weak. secondly she is dead weight. and last of all she is a burden for number four seriously can he not think if he succeeds what good would sarah do would they have loric human children

I have read only the first and the second book because in Italy we have only these, but my opinion about Sarah and Six has changed from one book to another: in the first book I really loved the character of Sarah with John, but in the second I have revalued her presence: studying the attitudes of Six with John, is clear that the two Garde would be very well togheter. This is because Six is a strong woman, who knows how to keep him at bay, whereas Sarah is the classic woman "flowers, roses and a happy family", I don't know if you follow me. I believe that Four and Six would continue on beating each other even after workouts and this would be veeeeery romantic, whereas with Sarah the couple's life would be boring. That's all ^__^

Sarah is supposed to be the nicest person you will ever meet. In the Rise of Nine, it's clear the main evil guy (who's complicated name escapes me) is able to take the form of other people. He does the exact same thing to Six when he stabs Eight, (my favorite aside from Marina) but everyone ignores that. Should we throw imaginary items at Six as well? It's obvious Sarah and John love each other, and Sarah only told everything she knew because she was tortured and didn't have any control over what she said. Six and John just wouldn't be right together.
I just finish reading the book AND I have 2 say it is my favorite so far. BUT you know I'm REALLY pissed off with Sarah´s comeback. I really want her out of John´s and everyone´s life for good. and it is NOT BECAUSE I DONT like her character, It´s just that I really think she just doesn´t belong there, she is human and weak and if you ask me: a little TOO PERFECT and honestly she won´t survive in this messy war. AND to be completly honest I thought that pittacus´s try to make her look badass at the end of the book was kind of lest just say ridiculous and FOR GOD´S SAKE she is just not loric!!!

i think that Setrakus Ra was being Sarah, and that Sarah was kidnapped the whole time. But even so, I mean, Who wouldn't wanna date six? Am I right?
Starting Note: I'm not a shipper. I realize there is romance in a book after I have time to think it over, because I'm just not focused on that. I like romance when it makes sense but when it doesn't I just don't pay attention to it. And I hate mindless shipping: "Zomg Sarah betrayed John, he should like totally go with Six!" or "Six belongs with, like Sam she should so, like, be with him." That might be an exaggeration.
In my opinion Sarah is too perfect. Perfect back-story to make her into the paragon of perfection, with the perfect body and face and perfect kindness. Problem is, that doesn't exist in real life when we talk about people. She and John will be the canon couple for the series and it did develop. Actually all couples that Lore makes develop into it.
I don't like Six that much either, she is just a typical strong character, I don't see much under that. She just doesn't get anything from me.

Four should understand that if he claims he is going to be "Pittacus", he should be aware that he would have the responsibility to create the future offsprings of Loriens, and all of us know that we do not want 'half-Lorien + half-human descendents' from the current Gardes, especially when they were supposed to be even stronger than the previous Elders; to add on that they are the REMAINING 7 GARDES LEFT IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE LEFT . I cant imagine the difference between Six and Sarah's children power or legacies, if they were to be with John. I strongly believe Six SHOULD be with FOUR.
The ONLY , ONE and ONLY, solution that i will accept Sarah to be with Four is if Number Five actually turns out to be a boy ( not yet discovered, after reading Rise of Nine). Currently, the 6 Gardes consists of 3 boys and 3 girls, if the last ( Number 5 ) were to be a girl, i feel that Four is very selfish to only let Two of the chosen male Gardes to be together with the other female Gardes when he is happily scooting off with Sarah. Note: well apparently the one who says "Maybe you should just turn yourself in and tell them you’re not a terrorist. I don’t want to lose you over and over, John." isn't really Sarah hart. Since in the Rise f Nine she said she didn't said it and she is not even there. Probably some Mogadorians who disguise themselves as her like what Ra did and trick four.

before i was a blood thirsty 11 year old psychotic book indulged kid master social backstabbing genius who wanted sarah to die soooo bad.

i am quite suprised but not angry that the author didnt include anything about sam or his UFO abducted father.
but sure i would rather keep it that way,i wouldnt really care much if sam died,but still make it HEROIC.

the only thing i would accept is if that four had to detatch ( like aang had to detatch from katara and his friends,oh and btw i love all the rick riordan books too,like percy jackson and stuff,epic dude slaughtering monsters).
four should let go of all the girl crap and become like nine,a fun person who likes to kill everything hostile in sight,and LAUGH about it.
wreaking chaos is just plain super fun,especially in dodgeball,i love it when everybody runs from me.

( i had to eat meals and to hw in between reading,so i didnt finish the P. of six as fast.

are all of people crazy i liek zix but a relationship with john is just wierd, he belong siwht SARAH HART. He loves her okay for one beautiful and she did not turn him in i refuse to believe that and maybe six would be happy with someone else like sam or maybe number nine but sarah and john ar destiny !
