Do you love or hate crackers? How often do you eat crackers? What brand(s)? What do you put on a cracker? My favorite cracker is Red Oval Farms Stoned Wheat Thins with something on them: cheddar cheese, some other kind of cheese, tuna salad, chicken salad.

I love crackers. I like Ritz. And oyster crackers - the little circles. Especially on soup.

I like oyster crackers too, but you know, there are some delicious brands and some awful brands, and you don't know until you've bought and eaten some on your soup. Then if you hate them you're stuck with the entire bag. I like the oyster crackers they give you at Potbelly's when you order the chili.

We ate Ritz in our house growing up. Ritz was the fancy cracker we bought, saltines were the unfancy cracker. Of course we liked Ritz better. I like them pretty well but I never buy them.

I like Cheez-It White Cheddar flavor. Not crazy about the regular cheddar, or any other brand of cheese crackers.

Triscuits just taste like hay to me. Salty hay.

message 8: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) So you probably don't like shredded wheat, either.

I generally don't. I'll eat it with a lot of sugar on it. I'll eat the tiny squares, not crazy about the enormous hay bale sized rectangles.

I like the frosted, spoon sized variety.

Félix (habitseven) Anyone ever have one of those mock apple pies made with Ritz?

message 12: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24835 comments Mod
No....sounds really scary. Real apples? Ritz pie crust?

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) | 107 comments Félix wrote: "Anyone ever have one of those mock apple pies made with Ritz?"

No, but i've crushed Ritz up and sprinkled over home made mac and cheese, then sprinkled cheese on top of that...the cheese melts into the cracker crumbs....

Oh noes. That sounds absolutely disgusting.

Félix (habitseven) Once when there was flooding in the train tunnels in NYC they moved a bunch of boxcars in loaded with shredded wheat to soak it all up.

I'm skeptical.

Ugh, so gross.

I'm not a huge fan of Ritz or wheat thins. I like triscuits a lot but I haven't had them in ages. I also like those thin table water crackers, especially the cracked pepper kind, with some full-fat brie or other creamy cheese on top.

message 19: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) It's true. I saw it on Glenn Beck.

I sometimes buy Sesmark Rice Thins, or other Sesmark flavors. They're pretty good, but they're a little too hard and crispy.

I really like Carr's Poppy & Sesame crackers. They're getting harder to find for some reason.

I am also somewhat resistant to croutons.

message 25: by Helena (new)

Helena | 1056 comments I love crackers. Almost any crackers. My favourite dinner is crackers with peanut butter.

I like crumpled crackers, oyster crackers, croutons or even lo mein noodles on my salad.

message 27: by Félix (new)

I like them plain! I also like roasted garlic Triscuits and dill and sea salt Triscuits. Plus a whole bunch of other types of crackers.

It's kind of trailer trash food, but when I'm in the mood for that trifecta of salt, sweet and fat, it is pretty darned good.

Yay. Who doesn't like crackers?

Phil!

message 36: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) I like them with something to put on them (who eats plain crackers?)

One of my favorite little snacks is a few Ritz crackers with a slice of cucumber and a dab of cottage cheese.

Gouda is great on them as well.

message 42: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I like certain crackers with certain things. I love a crisp, buttery cracker with sliced cheeses and soups. Saltines with chili. Sociables with a cheese ball.
