Another strange occurrence involves Swedes saddle. Explain!

Solveig When Swede got the saddle for her birthday there was a split in the leather, and it was pulled apart. It was impossible for Davy to fix the split, but Swede did not really care about it. Later Reuben saw his father touching the split, and afterwards it was gone.
