Prologue:I never thought I would see the day my big sister was weaker than I was. I hated to see that tired look that adorned her face as she lay in that plain white hospital bed. I always thought of my sister as my guardian, even though my parents were too. She always protected me, and loved me and I never thought that she would become weaker than me.
"Lillian, I never want you to forget me."
"I won't need to forget you, you will always be here."
"Lillian," she sighed, "you have to understand, I'm not going to be here much longer. The doctors said it would only be a matter of weeks before I'm gone."
"No, it can't be true. You can't leave."
"I'm sorry Lillian."
That conversation went on at least once a week in one of my visiting sessions with my sister. The only difference was that after a few weeks, she started adding in a number, first it was a month, then four weeks, then three weeks, then two weeks, then one weeks, than a couple days. Her hope was deteriorating along with her energy. Sometimes I didn't even want to visit her because of that lonely look on her face, other times I begged to stay longer, but that was near the end.
"Lillian, I will never forget you."
"Please, Lindsay, you can't leave. You have to stay with me. You can't leave."
"I'm sorry Lillian, I don't want to leave either, but it's almost my time. I may not even see you again."
Tears streamed down my face the next morning when the news came, she wasn't coming back, ever.
I was almost silent for days with only one sentence stuck in my head, her last one: "Never Forget Allison."
Chapter One:
"Jaycee! Wait for me!" I weaved through the growing crowd, desperately trying to catch up with my best friend. Her head bobbed above the others, but it didn't turn when I called out to her. Faces turned towards me, but once they saw it was just me, they turned back. "Jaycee! Wait!"
Her head turned towards me and a smile broke out on her face, "Lillian!" She pointed towards the wall and I nodded. I watched through the crowd, waiting for an opening. After a few seconds, I shoved my way past a wall of PDA. At long last, I finally got to the wall Jaycee pointed too. "How are you Lillian?"
"I'm pretty good. You?"
"Same, what have you been up to? We haven't gotten to talk in forever!"
"I know! Not much, just a bunch of schoolwork along with a bit of writing whenever I can fit it in. What have you been up to?"
"Not much besides school. Man our lives are boring. You have Mr. Larsson right?"
"Yes, first period."
"Have you done your family tree project yet."
"No, you?"
"No, want me to see if you can come over after school and work on it with me?" Jaycee pulled her phone out of her pocket and started tapping the screen."
"Sure! I'll check and see if I can!" I pulled out my phone and started typing out my mom's number.
* Mom, can I go over to Jaycee's after school?
No, you have homework.
We are going to work on our Geography projects.
Are you really or are you going to mess around?
We're really going to
Can I trust you?
Yes
I guess you can go, but make sure to give me 15 minute warning before expecting me to be there.
I will
You're welcome
Thanks :)*
"My mom says you can come over, can you?" Jaycee's phone slips back in her pocket, masking its bright glow.
"Yeah, but if I don't get my homework done, then she will get mad."
"So will my mom."
I sighed, "Guess that means we will just have to get our work done."
"Yeah. Well, the bell is about to ring, so I'll see you after school. We can meet here and then head to my house."
"Sure thing, see you after school then!"
"See ya!" Jaycee turned, walking towards the stairs. I smiled and walked past the stairs to the far hallway, anticipating seeing Jaycee after school.
As me feet led me through the building, I saw I rodent streak past one of the classrooms. It's dark brown fur and long tail followed its tiny paws across the slick floor. Shrieks filled the hallway as the other students saw it run by. Two more streaked past and a pop sounded in the main hallway up ahead. A strong odor leaked through the hallway, wrapping the students' heads with its rotten eggs and wet fart clouds. Hands flew to noses as the odor started to linger. Heads ducked and feet scuffled faster. I followed the crowd hurrying to the stairs, eager for lunch, but not the scent that I knew would be besieging the cafeteria.
As I thought, the main hall and cafeteria were much worse than the side hall. Stink bombs lay everywhere, some busted, some not. As I stepped over one of them, it burst, wrapping its stench around me. The crowd immediately backed away from me like I had a disease. I backed away, trying to get away from the stench and the judgmental people that probably thought I was part of the prank group.
A mouse weaved through my feet as a approached the lunch table. "What is happening?"
"Senior pranks," Alyssa sighed placing her polka dotted lunch bag on the table next to mine. "Senior pranks stink."
"Yes they do," I watched another stink bomb burst right outside the cafeteria.
"I hate them, I had to go through them last year as a freshman and I had no idea what was going on either."
I had known Alyssa since middle school. Since she had a very full school schedule, she took gym during eighth grade instead of seventh grade, so we had been in gym together. Since there were only a couple eighth graders in the class, we became friends. We both loved photography, so the subject pulled us together tighter than just the similar gym class. Having a friend that was a year older made the first few weeks of high school much easier than it would have been without Alyssa being there, especially since I never got to see Jaycee.
"How long does it last?"
"When they run out of stink bombs."
"There must be some kind of rule about this going on," I opened my lunch bag and pulled out my sandwich.
"None that I know of."
"I would think there would be one by now," I took a bite out of my sandwich.
"Well, there aren't any."
"It will stop once passing period is over right?"
"It might," as she said it the bell rang and the remaining students in the main hallway leaked into the cafeteria. A couple mice ran alongside the wall, looking for a place to hide as the students filled the chairs they had been hiding beneath. Another stink bomb went off in the hallway, but I couldn't smell it with all the other odors floating around. With the stink bombs and cafeteria food smell, I didn't really want to eat any more, but I was starving, so I ate.
The day got worse from there, but by the end of the day, it was fine. The police showed up the next period and started escorting students out of the building and questioning them. Alyssa was among the students that were questioned, but since she only knew the same amount as most of the student body, she wasn't questioned much. By the end of the day ten students were arrested and police lined the hallways ready to take more. I tried to go where Jaycee and I were planning on meeting, but a police officer pointed me to the door. I left, immediately taking out my phone and texting Jaycee.
*Hey, where are you? They kicked me out of the school.*
I leaned against a light post waiting for her returning message. I scanned the crowd, but there were too many people to sort through.
*I'm at the South entrance by the second light post.*
*I'll head over.*
I threaded myself through the crowd to the opposite exit. I focused my eyes on where Jaycee would be standing. Teachers milled through the crowd of students, trying to push them towards the parking lot. I sped up so I wouldn't lose Jaycee to the teachers.
“Lillian! Over here!”
I stood on my toes to locate the voice. Jaycee was walking towards me. “You get in trouble.”
“Yup, I think everyone got in trouble at some point today.”
“That’s probably true.”
“Clear out! Clear out!” A rather large teacher walked toward us.
“Guess we need to go,” we turned towards the parking lot and headed to the walking path.
“Today was definitely a crazy day.”
“Yeah, I wonder if it’s going to make the news.”
“Probably, but that might be normal too.”
“Alyssa didn't think it was too bad, but she’s only seen it once before. Ten people were arrested you know.”
“Ten? I only heard eight! Are they going to have to go to jail? This doesn't seem bad enough for jail.”
“Probably not jail, they will probably just be fined.”
“Okay, at least it isn't as bad as going to jail.”
“It goes on their permanent record though,” I couldn't imagine how bad those students felt about what they did, but then, they had to feel like it was okay to do it since they did it.
"The one colleges look at?"
"Yup, and the police records."
"Why would they even do something that would hurt them?"
"I don't really know, it's stupid."
Jaycee sighed. We were only half why to her house and there seemed to be nothing to say. Today so far had to be the weirdest day ever, but not as weird as my life was about to be.
That's all I'm going to post, but it's all I have so far also.
I have put this onto a blog post- added you onto it, see it here :)hope this is ok?

When Lillian Johnston starts searching for her past, she turns up a blank, a major blank. All she can find is her parent’s names, no grandparents, aunts or uncles, nothing else. The only other thing she finds, besides her accounts on multiple websites, is her little sister’s obituary.
(view spoiler)[Lillian’s parents had seen a kidnapper taking their daughter. The kidnapper had taken many kids already, and was extremely dangerous. He and his two brothers had been doing it together. He was caught then and one of his brothers was caught shortly after his continuous threats to Lillian’s parents. During the threats, Lillian and her family were sent away to live in a different part of the country with different identities. Now, the third brother has found where the family is living. He has become a teacher at Lillian’s school and has also become her teacher. As a project, they have to trace their lineage. When she can’t find hers, he knows it’s her and looks for house. Once finding it, he kidnaps her in a plan to kill her for revenge. (hide spoiler)]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
