I already read it and, if that is OK, just let me say: it was awesome and magical and sad and beautiful and definitely my highlight of the year so far! :)
I have heard that this book was amazing but every time i go to the bookstore my parents won't let me get it because it's still in hardcover. It's about Peter Pan or something like that, right?

Yep its about Peter Pan and Tiger Lily before Wendy came. Its so good!

I went to the bookstore today and am going to read it after I read The Iron King and Anna Dressed in Blood. I'm so excited!
The book was a very interesting take on a classic fairy tale that I grew up with (at least the Disney version). Like so many other book I have read lately this one seemed hard to get into at first. The characters didn’t seem relatable or even likable in the beginning. Tiger Lily especially, she just seemed like a character that needed to be pitied, her qualities of nature weren’t that redeeming though. As I got more into the book it was more enjoyable. The characters became less stiff, but not by much, and the story was able to explain and progress more. I did like how the different ‘well known’ events were incorporated and how they were integrated. It was nice for a one time read.
I reviewed this book here on goodreads as well as on my blog. 3 out of 5 stars for a very beautifully written book. But the review is FULL of spoilers! So beware! :)http://lauraleeanderson.wordpress.com...
3 out of 5 stars for me too. This book was well written and the plot had no gaping holes. However I only gave it three stars because I had trouble with the viewpoint of the book.

I thought this book was incredibly poetic. It wasn't what I expected at all, and I don't think it's marketed for the right target audience. But I was pleasantly surprised, and am still speechless two weeks after finishing it. I think this is best appreciated for fans of Peter Pan who can't find themselves appreciating the other spin-offs on the market because they're too far from the universe they love.
I loved it. When I finished it, I had one of those moments where I had to tell everyone about it but also wanted to keep the magic all to myself, so I compromised by hugging the book and rocking back and forth. While the story itself is beautiful, my favorite part was the new explanations for classic details, like the reason Hook lost his hand and Peter Pan's flight.
Well to say the least I loved it. I've always disliked Wendy. Her character just always annoyed me. This made me dislike her even more. It was a very enjoyable read. I liked that it was in Tinkerbell's point of view. Peter broke my heart when he left Tigerlilly for Wendy. I started to sob and almost threw the book before I realized that it was a library book then I put it on the ground. But in the end Peter leaving was for the best. So overall a great book.
I thought it was a good book. Maybe not great like I had heard, but still pretty good. I did cry several times throughout, and Peter Pan has become my least favorite Disney guy because of this book. A few times I really wanted to slap every character and show them what was wrong, but I think they were at the age where they had to slowly figure things out. I loved that she put Tinkerbell on Tiger Lily's side, and the reasonably happy ending most of them got. Smee's back story was definitely my favorite. Overall, it was nice, and I agree with no more team Wendy, let's support the real hero Tiger Lily.
I literally just finished this book 5 minutes ago. As a lover of J.M. Barrie's classic fantasy, Peter Pan, I began this book with low expectations. After reading and watching so many different renditions if this bittersweet tale (once upon a time series, Peter Pan movies, etc) i can honestly say this book created the most vivid portrayal of Neverland.Although others have complained about the point of view, I personally LOVED Tink's fastidious coverage of tiger Lily's pragmatic character and her silent but ever-constant presence throughout the entire love story. Wendy was presented as a young girl with an eclectic collection of knowledge of the world outside Neverland; her character was so different yet still so similar to her original role in the classic.
I genuinely believe this book will stay with me for quite a long time. For those who love fantasy, or appreciate Disney, this read will definitely not be regrettable. The take on such a heart-wrenchingly beautiful childhood story will not only change your perception of Peter Pan, but the consequences and rewards of loving one with all your heart.
