DID ANYONE ELSE HEAR BAGPIPES WHILE READING IT ALONG WITH SEVERAL RENDITIONS OF "OH, DANNY BOY"?

No, I didn't hear bagpipes. What I did do was remember my personal trip to Ireland made 6-7 years ago, and reflected on the tours we made and how they talked about the many challenges the country had had over the prior 1100 - 1200 years. Ireland has really fought the fight in so many ways.

No bagpipes here, though I did feel kind of compelled to put on some Loreena McKennit (don't judge) and got a hankering for corned beef and cabbage.

So, you wouldn't enjoy sausage/beer/sauerkraut night at our house, huh?

I love corned beef and cabbage. One of my favorite annual meals. YUM YUM. It's been a family favorite for well over 60-70 years--going back a generation or two.
