Elementals [Advanced RP] discussion

Thaddeus stopped in front of a large yellow house with white trimming. It had a tower over on the left and the porch went all the way around. Thaddeus motioned for Zola to follow and went around back. He had to jump over a wooden fence that closed in the back yard to do so, but it was not big deal. He waited fro Zola on the other side before moving off to the celler door. It was locked with a chain and apad lock. Pulling out a lock pick set Thaddeus had it opened in a brief moment. He dropped into the cellar which was pitch black due to the fadding light outside and no light inside. He hoped Zola stayed outside till he found the switch. He knew where it was and in a moment a dirt floored cellar was lit up.

Zola climbed over the fence easily. She ran into the cellar with him. They climbed the stairs to the house. "Sh*t, it's locked from the inside!" she said as she tried to open the door to the house. She closed her eyes and moved her hands in an intricate pattern. Roots from the ground grew up under the door and busted the lock from the inside. She ran inside and turned on some lights.

"Make youself at home." Thaddeus laughed as he went to the window and closed the blinds tight so no one outside could see any lights were on. Then he took a look at the door to see if he could fix it, but the lock was busted beyond repair. So much for being unoticed He thought. Maybe he could fix it before the owners got home. "So what do you think?" He asked waving around the house. "Hot water, running toliets, and clean bed."

"It's nice. it will suffice for a day or two maybe" She said as the doorbell rang. She went to the door. Zola put her ear up to it and spoke. "The last words my mother said to the both of us" she said. Adena answered and Zola opened the door. Adena gave Zola a worried look. "He tried and failed. I will not fail" she said. "Adena, meet Thaddeus."

"Oh my god shut the door!" Thaddeus yelled running over and slamming the door shut. "Haven't you ever heard of a back door?" He asked the girls peaking through the blinds to see if anyone had noticed. "The whole point of hiding is so no one will no where you are, and if you going into someone elses house and ring the damn door bell it pretty much gives it away." He was incredulous that Adena had the nerve to use the front door, if she was that stupid did he really want her around?

Adena laughed. "It's nice to meet you too Thaddeus! No ones on the block I made sure of that! And I also made sure nobody heard the doorbell. I looped back a couple times and made sure I wasn't followed and haven't made conversation with anybody. Keep your cool fire boy" se said smiling. She walked over to Zola and hugged her. "Sweetie, we'll get through this. I don't know if you talked to Caden lately but he's good and your dads teaching him well."

"Oh good! I hadn't talked to him in a couple days. Thaddeus, she's been through the covert bootcamp. Don't worry. Adena can you check the house for bugs or anything of the sort Thaddeus, can we talk?"

Elena had been walking for several hours through the forest. The quiet had helped her sort out her mind, and she felt better about what had occurred. She decided that the next time she met Benny she would ask him some more questions.

She could see the trees thinning out ahead of her and eventually they stopped all together. In front of her was a pretty yellow house that reminded her of her grandmother's cottage. Elena looked in at the window, but it was empty. She climbed over the back fence, but it still seemed to be deserted. Suddenly she paused. She heard faint voices coming from beneath the house. She checked a window, but the blinds were down. She began to slowly walk towards the cellar door, then pushed it open.

The door opened onto a dirt floored cellar with stairs leading up from it. Then Elena suddenly realised - the lights were on. Why would the lights be on if the house was deserted? She turned her head towards the stairwell. One way to find out, she thought. She walked up the stairwell and into the house.

"Yeah whatever." Thaddeus muttered, not appologizing for his harsh words but glad to see the girl had some sense after all. "The house isn't bugged." He added too, "Although you'er welcome to look." He followed Zola into the kitchen area so she could talk at him. Suddenly the cellar door creaked open and another girl walked. Thaddeus raised an eyebrow. "LEt's make it a party." He said exsasterbated, no way three girls in a house could help making noise.

"Ummmm who are you and why are you here?" Adena said casually smiling trying to act with coolness. This was a situation that really needed to be kept secret. It was too loaded and no commoner needed to hear about Zola's personal problem. Adena would get her to leave but, this girl looked interesting. She would seek her out later. "I got this, go talk" Adena said to Zola and Thaddeus.

"Thaddeus", Zola pulled him into the kitchen with her. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you that enough. You can leave at any time, Adena and I can handle it. You don't have anything against him. I get that your giving me so much and I'm not returning the favour. I'm so sorry."

Thaddeus was surpirsed that Zola had not invited this girl along, so a total stranger had walked into the same house they decided to use as a hide out? unlikly. But he didn't have time to think it over right since Zola pulled him away. He listened to her appology and ramain silent until she was just about to say sorry again, then he took a quick step forward and pulled her towards him. He kissed her with stregth cutting off her last word. He allowed the kiss to last for a few secon before releasing her with a smile "I'm staying." Was all he said.

Her heart soared inside as he kissed her. Zola was surprised but it felt right. She smiled. "Ok" she whispered, dumbfounded. She walked back into the main room and started cleaning her knives. Taking them out of some interesting places. She couldn't stop smiling. It was the first time he'd been happy since they were on south park bridge.

"I'm Elena. I went for a walk and stumbled across this house." Elena was confused. Why would three teenagers be in a disused house hours away from town? "Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked the girl, realising as she said it that there could be a very simple reason they were here - no adults around to prevent relationships between different Elements. She felt her cheeks going red.

Adena smiled and was glad that she was no threat. "Oh we are dealing with a situation. Nothing serious that will affect anyone else. I promise everything's legal and all. My names Adena. My friend in there is Zola and her companion's name is Thaddeus. I'm busy right now but would you like to go for coffee sometime? And maybe meet under different circumstances. I feel rude ushering you out like this but I don't want any harm to come to you. I'm very sorry, you look like a very sweet person but I do have to get touting leave if we are going to stay here unnoticed. I will explain everything over coffee sometime. Is that ok??"

"Yeah feel free to just throw my name about." Thaddeus said coming out of the kitchen. "Not like it's personal or anything." He turned to the girl who said her name was Elena. "Tell an elder about this and I will harm you." He was very moddy right now even though he had just kissed Zola, or maybe becuase it was because he had kissed her. She was earth after all, and he felt confused. He had always been so sure of what each element was, especially erth, but now.....he just didn't know. He was too restless to sit so he paced his black hair swishing everytime he turned.

Adena laughed and gently ushered the girl to the door. "He's just grumpy, don't mind him." she said. Elena looked very elegant and kind. She had a skillfull demeanor and Adena didn't underestimate her. She wonder what element she was.

Zola looked at Thaddeus. He was on edge and flustered. She set the knife she was cleaning down and stood to face him. She smiled and spoke. "Why don't you tell me why earth bothers you so much and maybe then you can stop pacing." she said sitting back down and resumed cleaning the knife, waiting for him to speak.

"Yeah, lets all chat." He said diagreably. He scowled a little more and then went once around the room, aruguing with himself. Zola really didn't have a right to know why he hated earth, but he was mad at her so mayby she deserved to know why, and she had let him in on her troubles. Not that THAt had made his life any easier, should he be mean and not tell her, or did he care enough to try and make a a go of actually getting to know her. Should he shove Zola away, or see if she could be trusted by letting her in just a little.

She wasn't suprised by his reluctance. She stood up and walked close to him. Zola looked him straight in the eye. "Thaddeus, the least I can do is keep a secret for you. I won't take offense to anything you say. I really don't like water's. One of them killed my ten year old sister. I get the feeling of hating another element. Please just let me in a little." Zola said. She wante to kiss him again but didn't know if he wanted that. She knew he was upset by the fact that he had just kissed the enemy.

Thaddeus looked down into her eyes. They are so brown, just like maria's he thought. He flet his resolved weaken to the breaking point and looked down at his feet. "I lied eariler, when I said I didn't know who my father was." Thaddeus was used to lying, it was second nature to him, but admiting lies was always hard. He was rarely caught so he rarely had to tell the truth. This was going to be hard.

"Ok, who is your father then?" she asked. She wasn't mad that he'd lied. It wasnt a big deal to her. Nothing he could say would make her mad or want to leave him. They were now in this together and she was just glad that he had shared some of his past with her.

Thaddeus took a deep breath glancing over at Adena. He took Zola's hand and lead her to the other side of the room. "My father was Jeremy Kelper." He so did not want to say this, but Zola had lost family, a otn of them in fact so she would understand. "He was murdered right in front of me when I was six." He still couldn't look at Zola he fced the wall to mask his feelings, how much it hurt to talk about this. "I....I could control my element yet, I couldn't do anything." He was very stiff trying to shake away the imagines, and even to this day unable to do so. "They smothered him."

She furrowed her brows in sympathy, he probably didn't want to hear her many sympathies for him. Guys didn't like that. "Thy were earth weren't they?" she asked quietly, already knowing the answer. Zola could hear the wavering in his voice and she knew that he suffered in silence alone. She put her hands on both of his cheeks. "I get it. I understand" she looked into his eyes. She realized her feelings for him. Zola thought that maybe this could be a real relationship. But did he? "Thaddeus, if it's too hard.... I- I can leave" she said this trying to keep her voice stable and her eyes clear. She understood if he couldn't love her, and she wasn't about to put him through hell just so she could have a love.

Thaddeus stared into her eyes. The flame within his own sputtered out leaving his eyes two black stone, cold as dead coals. The hate welled up inside him as he searched her eyes for lies or mockery. He caught her hand as she turned to leave, "No, don't go." He couldn't blame her, she was barely out of dipers when it happened. He couldn't think of anything else to say but he hoped it was enough.

"Promise me you won't ever leave. Because so many people have just left or died or tried to kill me and I dont know if I can take any more. I want to love you Thaddeus. I just need to know that you won't back out" she said. Zola would never leave him. Ever. She needed to know that he felt the same and she could let her heart fall.

Thaddeus was shocked by her confession. Could this be happening? Had he pierced so far into her effections so quickly? Was it only two days ago that he had met her in the park. Trying to avoide the earth bender there he had run striaght into the arms of another. That slip of paper he had given that had started this roll of events, why had he done it. Why was he drawn to her. He didn't know if he was willing or ready for the commitment Zola was asking for, but he did know he was not leaving her anytime soon.

"I'm staying" he repeated. "I'm not going anywhere."

She smiled. "Thank you. I know that I'm asking for a lot. I know that. But I also know that it's going to take a while for us to be ourselves again after whatevers about to happen." she paused. Glad that he hadn't shied away, glad that he hard called her on what she was saying. Zola knew that commitment was scary. She just didn't think that anything else other than commitment would be good for her right now. 3 family members had died her twin and best friend had tried and almost succeeded at killing her.Xola knew that people leaving or being distant would absolutely wreck her. She had confessed this like a crazy person. "He will be coming soon. We should prepare" Zola said snapping back to reality.

"He won't find us, it is us who will find him. This is just the cover house, come on." He assumes Adena would take care of the unwanted eyes and follow when she could. Mean while he took Zola up stairs. "This house was used in the civil war to smuggle out slaves. There is a secret passage that leads to a complex of tunnels and underground passage ways. Due to too much time in my childhoos I have spent a lot of time in them. They can connet to almost anywhere in town, or lead us out of town. Where do you want to go?" He asked. They entered the masterbed room and went into a closet. He pushed on the back of it and it slid open revealing stairs that lead down into darkness. "Oh yeah, I guess we should get aflash light."

"He would probably go to somewhere with lots of earth. The gardens maybe?" she said. Trenton like to be around earth because that meant he had more power over others. "Thaddeus, when the time comes, he's mine. I need to kill him." she said while looking at him.

Adena closed the door behind Elena. She ran upstairs to see Zola and Thaddeus looking at each other. She would ask later if there was something going on there. She gave a nod to Zola to let her know that she was in and everyone unwanted was gone.

Elena's head was reeling. She had come here for peace and quiet and got into yet another strange situation. She shook her head and began to head back to the city.

"Alright since we are all set to dish out as ass whooping lets go." Thaddeus said and started down the stairs. He stopped and his shoulders drooped, "Damn, the flashlight." He ran back downstairs and found one. It tool him about 10 minutes but he made it back with two flashlights and a pack of battery's in his pocket. "Okay, not we can go." He pushed through the girls and took the lead once more handing the spare flashlight to Zola as he did so.

Zola was taken back by his readiness. She knew he wanted this over. Zola follows silently. She only hoped that he would be ok after this. Her only fear was that he would have to clean up after a wrecked girlfriend who just killed her brother. Zola did not speak this aloud, she wouldn't say her worries to him. There was a line and she wasnt about to cross it.

Adena followed trying not to laugh at Zola's friends eagerness to go kill her brother. But hey, whatever works. Trenton was an ass, she had gotten into so many arguments with him. Infact she had almost blown Zola's investigation trying to talk him out of retracting treatment for his mom. This was it.

All three people reached the garden.

*Kyle wandered into the area, covered in dirt and rubble from the having left the fight he had just finished without bothering to clean up first, believing that it would be foolish to stop for something so simple as a bath and leave himself vaunrable to any of the Elementalists who had been watching his fight with the "Earth Elder" and might've wanted to take revenge for his actions or just decide to hunt him down for being a powerful Earth Elementalists* "If that truly was the Earth Elder, then my kind has fallen into disgrace. If that's the case, then where the hell am I supposed to go, now?" *He looked up at the large building standing in front of him a short distance off* "Well...I wonder who lives in such a unique structure like this?" *He continued toward the house*

Thaddeus walked back to the garden and took the tunnle back to the house. He needed to get the place cleaned up before his uncle got home. He came downstairs and went right to the fridge grabbing a beer before turning around to survey what he needed to do. He needed some air before starting work so he went out the back door and walked the property to make sure no one was around. But there was someone, a man by the looks, standing in the front yard. Thaddeus watched him, taking a drink of beer, hoping the man would go away.

*Kyle looked up at the man who was standing outside of the house* "Oh, I'm sorry. I guess this is your house. I was admiring its odd shape and form. Did you build this yourself?"

Thaddeus gave him an odd look completed by a raised eyebrow. "Ha....ha, very funny." He said in a very sarcastic tone of voice. The man was dressed strangly so that Thaddeus couldn't see any part of him.

*Kyle stopped* "What? What's so funny? Is there a problem with me complimenting the uniqueness of your house? If so, then I'll take it back." *He began to become a little frustrated*

Great, someone escaped from the loony bin. Thaddeus thought rolling his eyes. "Yeah it's a nice house, whatever." He shook his head and took another drink. "You just ckecking out houses?" Thaddeus asked.

"Ya. What of it? Do you not want me checking out your house? I'm merely admiring the uniqueness of it. I've never seen one of this shape and form before." *Kyle looked at the house, then back at the man, staring at him with the eye of his mask* "Surely you can't be upset with that?"

((What? You've never been tipsy? Anyway's it was a special occasion.))

"I can too." Thaddeus said though in a softer tone of voice, his heart wasn't really in it. He sighed "It's my uncles house, he bought it from his brother who got it from his father in law. Before it came to my uncle it was a water house which might exsplain the strange shape the fluid motion of the frame." Thaddeus had no way of knowing if what he said was true or not, but it sounded cool.

*Kyle stood there, silent for a moment, then spoke, a little confused* "What does it formerly being a Water Elementalist's home have to do with the way it's structured? And why are you living in a Water Elementalist's home? Are you a Water Elementalist?"

Thaddeus scoffed "No, But this was the first park where multiple elementals began to live together, but many decided to show thier differences in the construction of their homes." Thaddeus wondered why he was talking like this. He should get rid of the man and get back to work.
