Keeping Track of What You've Read

PictureBookPlaydate | 8 comments A while ago I realized that I wanted to keep track of the books I read. I think this came up because I started reading a book only to figure out I had already read it! Anyway there was no practical way for me to go back and catalog the books I've read in the past, but what I decided to do was start a blog where I could summarize each book I read, what I thought of it and when I read it. I've really enjoyed doing this; it's helped me keep track of the books I've read and it's fun to look back and see what you read over the past year(s).

Does anyone else use any method of tracking the books they've read?

In the event anyone is interested, my blog is here: http://barrowstreetbibliophile.blogsp...

Jo Oehrlein I just keep everything here on Goodreads. I'm sometimes better than others at adding my review text, but I'm fairly religious about marking what I'm reading and then marking it complete.

I have gone back and added a lot of books I read before, mostly without reviews.

Corey | 7 comments I never kept track until a few years ago when I started using Library Thing. After a while, I transferred over to Goodreads. I have spent many hours digging through my mental archives to compile a pretty comprehensive list of books that I've read since childhood. I haven't written reviews thus far, but might do it in the future.

Anne | 1 comments Last year I did a list on my blog and Goodreads. This year I'm just sticking with Goodreads. I'm also trying to be better at creating shelves and writing reviews.
