I was wondering if this bothers anybody... Anton really was barely in the book and I don't think his relationship with Patty was well-developed (they were together for 2-3 days). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it for the most part, but this is a very good book that could have been an amazing book. What does everybody think?

I agree it also bothered me that Anton wasnot in the book more and that he died in a tragic way. I also feel that the story could have been developed more so as to make a more compelete picture of Patty and her life. I am currently read the sequel Morning is Long Time Coming, I justed started. I'm hoping that it will complete this story in a more fufilling way.
Oh, I think Patty's life was developed quite well and Anton's death worked quite nicely. But he was barely in the book! Also, do you notice that in the sequel, Sharon is 4 years younger than Patty instead of 6??
