Um - Yes please!! LOLMy budget already has a hard time keeping up with my book addiction, I don't think it will survive if I start pre-adding too many books to it! :D
As it is, there are at least 3 books on the October List I've had on mine for the last 2 months - never mind any new ones I see!! :D

Jax, this is why G*d invented the Great American Library System! :) I cannot possibly BUY every book I read. I kind of doubt anyone could--especially someone at Jessi's rate of reading (*ouch*)
Our libraries here in NC aren't huge but we're tied into the WorldCAT system and ILL (Inter-library loan) system so I can borrow books from anywhere in the US. Actually, theoretically, from anywhere in the world. I've never tried to get them to ship me a book from another country though :)Since I still often have to choose between a gallon of gasoline and a gallon of milk, unable to afford both, I couldn't read anything if I had to pay for the book first. I still feel compelled to buy a book I really enjoy. It's the only way the artist can survive. Patronage, right? Happily, eBooks are often much cheaper than paper--and so much more affordable to store and move :)

Well..... I tried to use an eBook loan from our library but they're hooked up to the Overdrive system which uses DRM and as a result, I cannot read anything on my iPad - not Kindle, not ePub, not PDF (tried all 3) so it's utterly pointless for me. I only read eBooks on either my iPad or my Android phone, never on my PC--and I even have a laptop but it's next to impossible for me to read without suffering pain if I cannot hold the device in one hand. Anything too unweildy to hold in one hand cannot be located a correct distance from my eyes (and SHIFTED easily throughout the reading time) so I end up with a lot of eye and neck pain. NOT worth it, not even for my OWN books!What is this Swagbucks of which you speak, Sarajayne? :) Say on oh user of free stuff :) I am absolutely not the only one wants to learn at your elbow how to get free stuff (haha)

Even my library in the little town I grew up in is better than what I have now! (not that its entirely their fault)
It took me all over 30 minutes to peruse their shelves, and come to the conclusion they had nothing I hadn't already read in my genre.
In one - and I'm not lying - they didn't even have a shelving system - I ran out in horror after I found Stephen King right next to Sidney Sheldon!!
Sorry, but I am OCD when it comes to my books.
And a Library Network?? No such thing....
Unfortunately Books here don't seem to be very popular - I recently did a small survey for myself - sent out 150 - got about 15 responses... of which most of the replies stated, they read less than 5 books a month dedicating no more than 4 hours a week to reading... with only 3 genre's selected. So, I can hardly blame my library system... but it does make it harder for me... ;D
Thankfully I've made friends who do read so we can share books and then when my budget allows, I gleefully add to my own library. :D

She is one of my favorite authors and considering many of the other books I've seen reviewed around here, I really think you would like her work.
Ok, I'm now officially depressed. We don't have libraries in Kenya. Seriously. The closest is the library at my kids' school. And it's ok, considering the non-existant options. ...

Well, I've got a lot of books on Kindle via free days or review requests. And I do occasionally find a good YA book at the kids' library (it is for grades 1 - 12). So for now I'm stocked up. And I don't mind buying books, except when the Kindle costs more than the paper version, and then I just get mad.
LOL - That sounds about right.I have 2 online stores I get my books from - but sadly they don't do eBooks - I use BooksonBoard for those.
But the SA store for online books - they charge more for the eBook than the online stores charge for the physical books...
Thankfully I do have a few friends to share with...
But I don't think my wishlist has had less than 5 books on it for at least the last 3 years... ;D

Hmmm I haven't actually.I have a generic reader (sorry, I have no idea if it has a brand name - i just know its not Kindle or ipad) lol
And I generally use Calibre if I do read on the PC, as its the program I use for My library...
So far I haven't found much that interests me outside of the Classics that pop up on the freebies... then again, I haven't been hunting Kindle or Nook...! ;)

Jax, there are a number of sites that you can subscribe to that send out notifications of free Kindle books, and some of the books on offer are new and quite good (by both lesser known and famous authors). Book Bub and Pixel of Ink come to mind. Pixel also has a YA newsletter you can subscribe to. You can then download a free Kindle app onto PC, Android phone, and all Apple products.
On the 14th of October Oblivion by Anthony Horowitz is being released. It's the final book in the Gatekeepers series. Can you add it to the list? Just so fans of the series will know that its coming out. Thanks!:)
