In the first chapter the girl gets hit in the face with a door by the player and is instantly irritated with him. But of course he's hot and he takes her to the ER so she starts to kinda soften up. I believe she is a reporter but I'm not positive. Anyway they pretty much start seeing each other without really labeling it or telling anyone. Then I remember that she finds out he takes old baseball equipment to underprivileged kids and sort of coaches them. She shows up to one of these practices and the kids are teaching her how to play when the baseball player shows just as a kid throws a pitch and the ball hits her in the head. I'm not really sure what happens for awhile, I don't remember, but I know they break up for some reason or at least fight about something.
*SPOILER ALERT* But then I know at the end he buys the field the kids play on and she shows up and they are remodeling the dugout or whatever and they end up getting paint on each other and having sex just as one of the kids shows up to tell the player something important, but I don't remember what. So its a happily ever after and I really want to read it again but for the life of me I cannot remember what it is called. I would say it is geared towards people in their 20s-30s. A little older than a young adult novel.
*Also, I think the player may have a stalker of sorts that the girl tells off at one point but I'm not really positive on that fact so maybe not.
