He talks about his life on the farm to playing high school and college football and even the in between things such as his relationship with God and the church and all of the of visits he did to third world countries. Doing all of those throughout his life I can really tell it helped mold him into the special person he is today in anybody’s life.
2. I gave this book only a three star rating because it didn’t turn out to what I thought it would be. I figured it would be more of a football book and not his whole life story about all the in between growing up things. Also the story was as motivating as I thought it was going to be or could have been. To me it was an above average autobiography.
3. I'm an athlete and all my friends are and we always compete with each other to see who can be the best at anything that comes our way. I’ve always learned the life lesson of working hard for what you want to achieve and if it is there take it and never let anyone take it away from you. I think Tim was taught the same thing when he was growing up along side with his savior God, “If I didn't work as hard as I could, then I think it would be a bit like saying, 'God, thanks for giving me this ability, but I don't really care about it. I'm going to do something else, and I'm not going to work quite as hard.” This to me was the most significant thing that Tim could have said throughout the whole book, because there are people everywhere who take everything for granted and never know what it is like to have to work hard for something and it is all just handed to them. I have God given ability to some point, but even God steps back at some point to let yourself take over and earn some on your own.
4. I would end up recommending this book to someone, it has a lot of great life lessons and challenges that anyone can relate to. Especially if you love football or any sport, this book is a read for you. It isn’t a made up story, this book was all based off a young athletes life that even though he is in the NFL and achieved the ultimate dream, he is still learning and listening everyday.
