Pure epicness. You must read it.
BZRK by Michael Grant

It is pretty good

Star Inkbright (Ink!) (starinkbright) | 22 comments Meh. BZRK is okay but not as good as Gone. Maybe the rest of the series will persuade me otherwise, but, at the moment, it's not reaching my favourites list.

I read Gone for school and although it was pretty good I started to dislike characters and when my friends got to the forthish book they started getting totally creeped out so, although I like horror (vampires/werewolves/fairy princesses/etc that are evil) I would rather not read that

Star Inkbright (Ink!) (starinkbright) | 22 comments *grins* Yeah, in Gone you never really like any of the characters because they all mentally fall to pieces . . . What I like about Gone is how realistic it is. I know people firing lasers out of their hands is hardly normal, but what's realistic is how all the characters act. A quote from Skulduggery Pleasant: Death Bringer: "I like my heroes to be, you know, good guys." Well, in real life, there aren't good guys. Not really. There are people who are good but also bad, and sometimes there is no right answer. Gone's like that. Nobody can work out how to solve the problems, nobody is a good leader - well, in real life, who's the perfect prime minister/president/etc. who can get everything right? Nobody.

So I like it for its realism. :)

Star Inkbright (Ink!) (starinkbright) | 22 comments I know what you mean about the creeping out. Fear creeped me out so bad, it gave me the urge to rip out my veins . . . Scared myself to death. But I like Gone because of how realisticly the characters act. In real life, is there a leader who can satisfy everyone and always do the right thing? Not even close. That's shown in Gone. Once my dad was trying to prove to me that people don't need leaders by showing that the kids in Gone didn't need a leader . . . He won the arguement, which is very impressive as he hasn't even read the books. :)

I read stuff for getting OUT of life. Realism? I don't care. Realistic Fiction? I am AVOIDING that so bye bye. Not going to read you. However I do see your point about realism being a good thing for some, but not me

Horton Deakins (hortondeakins) | 35 comments Someone else recommended this book to me a couple of weeks ago, but I had lost my notes and had forgotten to put it on my reading list. Glad y'all brought it up. Now, if I could just remember the title of the other book...

It's about superpowers! Not realistic :p

Star Inkbright (Ink!) (starinkbright) | 22 comments GAHHHH. My first comment looked like it hadn't posted BUT IT HAD. So I ended up ranting about realism TWICE. *is annoyed*
