Starlights discussion

An old abandon Warehouse near the Harvest Field...noone is quite sure what used to be in it, but ever since a fire damaged it, it's been the secret meeting spot for the Starlight Rebels...

Renee walked into the currently empty warehouse where she then proceded to sit down in a corner and simply think. She had a rather large, purple bruise on her cheek from when a certain, not very nice Torch hit her. Renee had simply been treating the woman's son, disinfecting the wound when the young boy cried out in pain. It was normal for this to happen, after all, alcohol does sting wounds, but the Torch didn't believe Renee and ended up hitting her. Now here she was, sitting in a corner, not daring to cry.

Cale wandered around the town,looking for anything that wasnt out of place like he was supposed to.He didn't like to ,but it wasn't really his choice.He sighed as he paroled the town.

Eventually Renee could no longer hold back her tears. She started all out sobbing, ashamed at herself for doing so. However since she didn't believe there was anyone else around, that made her feel a bit better.

Cale heard something in the distance,though not really sure of what it could be.He was near the abandoned warehouse,but he never thought of anyone being in there.He didnt think much of it,so he just kept walking,though he listened closely

Renee continued to cry for a good five minutes before little Amoretta showed up. The kitten proceded to try to snuggle up to the girl, purring in order to try to cheer her up. Eventually Renee started to pet the kitten, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

Cale continued to hear it,and there wasnt another person in sight.He sighed and turned around and proceeded towards the abandoned warehouse.

It Renee has been listening she might've realized someone was approaching, but she was too wrapped up in her own thoughts, and tears. Amoretta, on the other hand, heard Cale approach, but decided to hink nothing of it.

Cale opened the creaky door and he stepped though it"Hello?"Cale said very softly,not wanting to startle whatever was in there."Anyone here?"He said a bit louder after a few minutes.

Renee jumped when she heard his voice, and proceded to try her best to quickly wipe her tears. Unfortunatly she temporarily forgot about her bruise, and flinched when she touched it. "Ow!" she cried out, her pain obvious in her voice. Little Amoretta meowed, concerned.

Cale walked over to the sound and found a girl,around his age.He knelt down so that he could look her in the eyes"Are you alright?"He asked,not caring if she knew he was a torch,since the distinctions between them were obvious.

"I- I'm fine," Renee told him, looking away, although she most obviously was not. Other than the fact that her eyes were slightly red from crying, the large bruise on her cheek was immpossible to hide.

Cale grabbed her chin and he turned her face so he could see her bruise"You are most certainly not fine.What happened?"He said in a reassuring voice,not wanting her to think he was going to hurt her like most torches would have.

"Some Torch hit me when I was treating her kid..." Renee told him quietly. "It's alright though, it was just maternal instincts," she added, making up an excuse for the woman who had injured her. Most people wouldn't do something like that, but Renee was big on forgiving and forgetting.

"No,it really isnt.If you were treating her son,she should have been grateful instead of hitting you."Cale said softly"Now come on,lets take you to a treater."he said,picking her up.

"Oh no, it's fine... There's not much you can do for a bruise anyways, only put ice on it..." Renee told him, embarassed to be in such an awkward position. Not that she didn't like it... In fact she had to say that deep down inside she actually liked it.

"Well then thats exactly what we'll do then."Cale said with a shrug as he walked out of the abandoned warehouse with her in his arms.He strode across the fields and towards the town.

Gabriel bust into the old building with Kiera in his arms. He didn't know what he was doing. Really, he was just winging it. He walked over to an old chair and sat her down. He took a step back and looked her in the eyes unsure of what to say.

Kiera decided that now was a good of a time as any and retreived the dagger from the pouch she was carrying. Unable to look at him, she held it out to him. "You left this behind," she told him quietly. The dagger itself she couldn't care less about, but the meaning behind it... That was the source of all her misery, or at least that's how it seemed to her at the moment.

Gabe's eyes widened at the site of the dagger. He grabbed it and tossed it to the ground. He couched down next to Kiera. "So you know." Was all he could say. She must hate him so much right now. He could tell she new by the way she handed it to him. like it had poison on it

Kiera looked at him, tears in her eyes. "Did you lie to me?" she asked him quietly, a single cheek rolling down her cheek. She knew that he had lied to her about having a sister, but... She didn't care about that right now. What she wanted to know was if he had lied to her about her feeling, because that was what really mattered to her. Even if the lying hurt, she wanted to know if she could possiblyy forgive him.

Gabriel almost wanted to kill himself for causeing her so much pain. "Kiera a hid a lot of things from you, there were thing and still are that you can't know." he told her while looking at the ground.

"But did you lie to me? What you promised, was that a lie?" Kiera asked him, lifting his face so he was forced to look at her. Forced to see her tears, which were now freely flowing down he cheeks, and wetting the front of Gabriel's shirt, which she had yet to chenge out of. Her black hair was a bit messy, her pale cheeks slightly moist and her eyes filled with a look of betrayal.

Gabriel watch her eyes go from hurt to betrayal. He wanted both to go away, he wanted to tell her the truth. So he did the only thing he could do, he kissed her. He kissed her with tenderness first, to show he cared. But then his lips became more hungry, more passionate, as if he could drowned out the world with this one kiss

Kiera was surprised at first, but after a couple seconds she maned to get past that and melt into his kiss. She continued to kiss him back until finally had to pull away for air. Then she looked at him, concluding that he did actually care for her, at least a bit. Therefore, she could forgive him, at least for lying before. However, she would require some answers, and if he lied again... She couldn't promise the same result. "I forgive you," she told him, her voice barely a whisper.

Gabriel was sad when Kiera pulled away, but h new that they needed air. He put his forehead on hers and put his hand in her hair. "I meant every thing I said." He told her. "I love you." He whispered. He was scared she might not love him back, but even if she didn't, he would always love her.

Kiera froze for a second when she heard his words, but then she hugged him tightly. "I love you too, Gabriel," she told him, her voice quivering slightly. Then she started to sob into his shirt, not quite sure why she was crying. However she was fairly sur ethey were tears of joy, not sorrow, or perhaps she was simply relieved. Either way, she didn't regret admiting she loved him. In fact, it felt like a sort of burden had been lifted.

He hugged Kiera back tightly. When she started to cry he pulled her unto his lap and stroked her hair. "I'm sorry I had to lie to you. But I didn't want you to get hurt, even now if they find out the little you know, you could be hanged. On top of that they would know about me and they could trace me back to my village...They would probably slaughter everyone, to make sure that someone like me would never get back in." He explained. He so desperately wanted her to understand.

Kiera wiped her tears, and looked up at him. "Gabriel, I don't think you get it. I love you, and I don't care for the consequences. As for your viillage... Don't you trust me to keep a secret?" she asked him quietly, feeling slightly hurt. She understood, at least a little. However she still couldn't help but feel a little betrayed.

Gabriel laughed, a sound that didn't have any real joy in it. "Of course I trust you." He told her. "But even the toughest of people can crack under torture. Sooner or later they will fine out who I am." His voice got colder. "Then they will come for the ones I love. It's a danger that you even know me..." He trailer off before starting again in an angry voice. "But I wont let anyone touch you! They'll sooner be dead then even threaten you." He said loudly, his voice echoing through the empty building. He turned his head around and pulled his eyebrows together. "Where are we anyway."

Kiera couldn't help but smile at Gabriel's question. After all, only he could drag her out somewhere to talk, and not even realize where he was going. "This used to be a warehouse a while back, but it's been empty ever since the fire a few years back," she explaiend to him. It was a place that the newer Torches were avoiding, but Kiera often came to think or when Ciaran was being more annoying than usual.

Gabriel put his finger to his lips and tapped them. "This just might be... could it.?" He said to himself. Standing up he gave Kiera an apologetic smile. "One sec." He said and turned on his heal and started circling the room. He looked at the floor and on old seats and a dusty table. His face looked like he was thinking very hard.

Kiera watched him curiously. She wondered what he could possibly be thinking about that seemed to require so much brain power. Somehow during these thoughts it occured to her that he actually looked really attractive like that, and she felt her face grow slightly flushed. She'd never thought about someone the way she thought about Gabriel before.

Gabriel smiled and then laughed. He laughed so hard he nearly fell onto the floor. "I can't believe it!" He said between chuckles.

"What's so funny?" Kiera asked him, truly clueless. His random laughter just didn't make any sense to her.

Gabriel finally got in control of himself and replied. "Under my nose this whole time." He mumbled and then realized he wasn't making sense. "Let me explain, the reason i seamed so quiet before and the reason no one ever saw me was because I made sure it was that way. I've been watching the Starlights and other Torches, tracking there moves, watching... always watching..." He realized he sounded creepy then and gave Kiera an apologetic smile. "Any ways, I've had my suspicion's before but no proof that they the Stars had been gathering. I looked for any good homes or hides that they might have been good hide outs. But..." He said and gestured to th building around them. "I never checked here because I thought it was to obvious! But I was wrong that's why it a perfect meeting place. And you can tell by how many foot sprints there are and how everything is dusted off!" He smiled pleased with himself. "Not only do we really know that they are meeting but we know where!" he said and through his hands up in the air.

Kiera looked at him, slightly confused, but overall understanding what he was talking about. However something still confused her. "Why would you want to know where the stars are meeting?" she asked him curiously. Personally she didn't care too much for the Torch's way of bossing around Stars, so really the Rebellion didn't surprise her the least bit. In fact, she had basically predicted it.

Gabriel scratched the back of his head, seeming uncomfortable. "Kiera what do you think I am here for?" He asked, all signs of laughter and smiles gone. His voice dropped low and his face was emotionless. He stood there tall, dark, and menacing. He stood the way he did when he was dead serious. The way he was normally before Kiera came into his life, he looked like he could easily slaughter anyone that came into the room.

"Well I know you're some sort of spy, and by the way you seem to be acting, you're definetly not on the side of the Torches," Kiera said quietly. She wasn't scared of though, she simply couldn't be. The person standing in front of her was Gabriel. Sure, he didn't look like the person she generally considered him to be, but she knew that no matter how he acted, he was still the guy she loved... And the one that loved her back. Therefore, she didn't hesitate to stand up and kiss him on the lips, as if to prove that she wasn't scared.

Gabriel pulled away from the kiss, but then quickly kissed her on the cheek before taking a step back. "Kiera the thing is I'm more then a spy and your right about the torch thing." He bit his lip. "I just don't want you to hate me if I tell you." He said softly with sad eyes. He walked around her and grabbed the knife. not sure to go on or not.

"Gabriel, there's no way I could possibly hate you, even if I wanted to," Kiera told him softly. She didn't move to look at him though when he moved to pick up the knife. Instead she simply stood there, wondering why he couldn't possibly just trust her the way she trusted him. Could their relationship even work out with what seemed to be a one-sided trust? Or were they doomed to end up broken-hearted in the end?

Gabriel twisted the knife in his hand. "I'm a warrior Kiera, I'm a spy, and I was sent here to destroy... To. Kill." He looked up at her with a deep sadness in his eyes, far past his years. "Kiera It's not that I don't trust you, it's that it's against my nature to tell anyone anything. And I, I want to keep you safe." He looked her in the eyes, those beautiful eyes that he always seemed to make sad. Kiera brought out the best in Gabriel, but he felt he brought only sadness and betrayal to her in return. " Kiera I was sent here to not only free the Stars, but to destroy the Torches." He told her. He stepped closer to her the knife in his handed. He took another step and another till he had backed her up into a wall.

When Kiera stood against the wall, she didn't feel frightened, not like anyone in their right mind. Of course that was alright, because she wasn't in her right mind, she was in love. Instead of cowering in fright she stood tall, her dark eyes seemed to be asking Gabriel what he was going to do next. Kiera didn't believe he would attack her, and if he did... Well she could understand. Not every love was two sided, and he had a mission to complete. Falling in love wasn't part of that mission, so she had no place in his life. At least no real one.

Gabriel stood and raising the knife. SWOOSH! He stabbed the knife into the wall next to Kiera. His face almost touching her as he asked. "WHY AREN'T YOU SCARED? WHY DON'T YOU RUN?! Everyone is scared of me! Everyone! I'm going to destroy your home one day... yet you say you don't hate me!" His eyes filled with tears and he laid his head on her shoulder. "I want to protect you Kiera, hold you and never let go, I trust you... But how can I keep you safe," He grabbed her shoulders. " If you aren't scared, if you don't run when you should?" His voice was a soft whisper now as he mumbled into Kiera's shoulder. "I want us to run far away from here. To get away from all this. No more lies, no more Starlights and Torches. Just me and you." He looked up at Kiera. "But I have family here, I have things I swore I would do. And I. Don't. Know. How to keep you safe."
