The Collectors stole the Souls of ancient Heros and Villans. They stored them in magic gloves, Gauntlets, and kept them till they found the reincarnations of the Heros and Villans. With these gloves, they could tap into the power within them.
Around puberty, the reincarnations will show a power, this power will be active from 3 days to a week and a half. Whatever time period it may have been active, the power would eventualy become harder to control till it vanishes all together. They are then confronted by the Collectors, who grant them their Gauntlets.
