Gabriel's home.
(( ahhh sorry ok posting ^.^))
It had started raining on the way to Gabe's house and by the time they were at the front door he was soaking wet. He grabbed the door nob with a shaky hand and pushed open the door. When he took a step in his shoes squeaked and he his clothes dripped water onto the floor. He let Kiera in quickly closed the door behind them.
(s'okay!)Keira burst out into laughter, unable to help herself. Normally being soaked would simply make her grump, so she'd snap at whoever came her way, though that wasn't too different than usual. However, with Gabriel, she felt her moodiness lighten slightly, and instead she found the humor in how her clothes stuck to her slightly causing her to shiver a bit. What she didn't notice though, was the way that her wet clothes highlighted her curves, the cold brought a becoming flush to her pale cheeks, and the musical way she seemed to laugh.
Gabriel smiled at her. "What's so funny?" He asked. He couldn't help but slightly stare at Kiera. She looked really pretty when she was wet. His cheeks went red a bit more, but it wasn't from the cold. He couldn't afford to be thinking the way he was. He had other things he needed to focus on... But still, he couldn't help but feel relaxed around Kiera. Most people he always felt like he had to be quiet around or take care of. But Kiera, she was different.
"Come to think of it, I'm not really sure," Kiera told him with a giggle. However, she managed to stop laughing for teh most part when she noticed that he was sort of staring at her. It was her feel slightly weird, and yet somehow it was a sort of good feeling. Usually she might snap at a person if she caught them staring at her, but Gabriel was special... He was her first friend in a long time. "What is it?" she asked, still smiling slightly.
Gabriel blushed and looked away. avoiding her question he said. "We should probably warm you up before you get a cold." He pointed at the bathroom next to his room. "I'll go get you some clothes and a blanket. Mean while you can.. Change in there." Putting a hand through his hair he continued. " My mom is spending the night at my cousin Christa's house, so there isn't an adult around." As he said that he realized what it might imply. "N-Not that there would be anything that would happen... I- I mean that we..." He gave a nervous laugh. "I'm gonna stop talking now."
Now Kiera found that she too was blushing slightly. Normally she'd make some snippy comment about that, but right now, with Gabriel, that didn't seem right somehow. Instead she bit her lip nervously, unsure of what to say. However, she also found herself shivering slightly from the cold, as she stood there with her wet clothes clinging to her. Kiera's short, black hair was in a slightly awkward position, a few strands falling into her eyes. She didn't brush them away though, like she normally would. Rather, she found herself unable to do so, as if moving right now was forbidden.
Gabriel saw a few strands of hair in Kiera's eyes. He brushed them out of her way and behind her ear. He pulled away. "Right... Umm, bathrooms by my room and I'll go get some dry clothes. you seem cooled." and with that he walked over to the the very tiny upstairs to his mothers bedroom.
Kiera wasn't really sure why, but her heart was racing in her chest. It had started when he leaned forward to brush away the loose strands of her hair, and simply refused to calm down, even once Gabriel left the room. Instead, she was forced to just stand there, her heart thumping in her chest. That is, until she sneezed. It was a strange way to be shocked back into reality, but it did do the trick, at least for Kiera.
When Gabriel was upstairs he had to take a few breathes to steady his heart beat. It didn't work. Despite the cold his hand that he had touched Kiera with felt like it was on fire. He walked over to the only other door other than the closet that was upstairs and grabbed the handle and twist it. No use, it didn't budge. He sighed to himself. His mom must of locked her room when she left. He felt the top frame of the door, but the key was gone to. Why did she take the key? Did she think I was going to raid her room or something? He checked the upstairs closet but the only thing that was in it was a small thin blanket. Gabriel frowned. He might have to make Kiera wear some of his clothes.
In the meantime Kiera made her way into the bathroom, careful to lock the door behind her. Then she carefully proceeded to try her best to get most of the water out of her clothes. Not that it really helpedd her in any way. They were still wet and cold, clinging to her skin. However, it did stop them from dripping water everywhere. After realizing that it really wasn't getting her anywhere, Kiera instead wrapped a towel around herself, securing it so that it looked like a sort of short dress on her. Then she draped another towel on her shoulders to catch the water that dripped from her hair.
Gabriel came down stairs and past the bathroom and into his room. His room was bare compared to other torch rooms he had seen. He walked over to his dresser and started going through his clothes. Gabriel was glad that Kiera wore black, because it was really the only color of clothing he owned. He frowned again as he realized that all his pants would be way to big for Kiera. tapped his feet thinking of what she could wear. He grabbed his longest sweater and thanked the heavens that he was tall, the shirt would fit like a dress on Kiera.
Without even really realizing it, Kiera found herself singing as she brushed and blowdried her hair. Honestly Kiera never really sang in public, despite the fact that she had a beautiful voice. It was sweet and able to hit just about every note, except for the really low ones. However, the only time Kiera ever really let others listen to her music was when she was playing piano. Although Tynan had heard her sing many times, but since he was her twin, that was sort of inevitable.
Gabriel was just about to knock on the door when he a beautiful song came to him from the other side. It was as soft as silk and as lovely as a birds song. His hand stayed in the air as he listened to Kiera sing. He didn't know how long he stayed like that until he decided best to give Kiera her clothes. He softly knocked on the door.
Kiera's singing died down before she opened the door a bit so that only her face was really visible. "Took you long enough," she remarked with a smile. Her tone wasn't really angry so much as simply slightly playful, as she felt surprisingly elated. It was quite a strange feeling indeed... Then again, perhaps she'd feel like this more often if she had more friends... Like Tynan. He seemed to make a friend out of everyone he met.
Gabriel blushed and turned his head slightly away when Kiera opened the door. "Ya about that, seems my mom kinda locked her door and took the key." He pushed the clothes softly at Kiera. "So you kinda have to wear my shirt." He handed her the clothes and started his way across the living room to the kitchen. "I'll be over here if you need me."
"Thanks," Kiera told him quietly as she took the shirt. Honestly she didn't mind that she had to wear his clothes. After all, she wasn't one to care too much about appearances. When she slipped into his shirt she then turned to the mirror to look at herself. For a few seconds she simply appraised herself, looking over every angle, all the was from her slightly messy black hair, to her pale cheeks which currently had a lovely pink flush, to the way Gabriel's shirt outlined her curves surprisingly well, almost like a minidress, but just a smidge longer. Kiera also couldn't help pressing the fabric against her face, inhaling slightly... It was soft, and smelled like Gabriel. Of course she wasn't quite sure exactly what type of smell that was, but she did know it made her feel safe and comfortable. After a few more seconds in front of the mirror Kiera stepped out and appraoched Gabriel. "So how do I look?" she asked him, doing a 360 twirl. Honestly she had meant it more like a joke at first, but after saying it she realized that she really wanted to know what he thought.
((k so remeber when i said they had to stop to get food before they left? well i forgot about that so let's just pretend that they brought the food in earlier))
Looking in the grocery bag and started to pull out the food items when Kiera approached him. As Kiera twirled in front of Gabriel and he had to smother a laugh. It wasn't that she looked bad, she actually looked very beautiful. But he had never seen her do something so girly. He gave her a half smile and a small chuckle. "You look gorgeous." He said truthfully.

He said truthfully.
Kiera found herself blushing feircely. However, she didn't really want him to see so she did her best to hide her face with her hair. "Thanks," she mumbled, embarassed. No one had ever called her pretty before... Let alone gorgeous. After all, she was that volatile goth girl with a rebellious streak. Who could possibly admit that she was pretty to her face? It was a dangerous thing to think, let alone say. Despite being out of her territory, Kiera then decided to follow her instincts. After all, despite being a bit of a loner, she was still a girl. Therefore, she gave him a quick peck on the cheek since it seemed like the most appropriate thing to do.
Gabriel's heart seemed to jump ten feet out of his chest when Kiera kissed his cheek. His heart was beating a thousand miles an hour and he was sure that she could hear it. He did his best not to blush and tried to keep the conversation going. "It's seems like you suprised that I gave you a compliment." He noted. "Why is that?"
((Gtg for a little bit but I'll brb asap))
((Gtg for a little bit but I'll brb asap))
For some reason Gabriel's close proximity caused her heart to race and made her knees feel weak. However, she still managed to give him a small smile and answer his question. "I've just never really been complimented before," she told him quietly, and slightly nervously. She didn't know why, but being around Gabriel was somehow different than being around other people. She just couldn't find a flaw with him... Well, not a completely apparent one.
Gabriel softly grabbed Kiera's chin and tilted her head so she was looking straight at him. "For a creature who has such beauty as you, it should be a sin to not express your elegance." His voice was barley a whisper and before he could stop himself he gently touched his lips to Kiera's.
((Back, and ya i know it's kinda sudden-ish and old fashion what he said and did... but what can i say. Gabriel will be Gabriel))
((Back, and ya i know it's kinda sudden-ish and old fashion what he said and did... but what can i say. Gabriel will be Gabriel))
(Nah, I like it :))When Gabriel touched Kiera, she felt a jolt go through her body. It was a strange, and yet surprisingly pleasant feeling. In fact, it was slightly addictive. However, it also caused her breath to get caught in her lungs and her heart to skip a beat. When he kissed her though... That's when she felt like she had just died and gone to heaven. She had never kissed anyone before, not even on the cheek, it just wasn't in her personality. Hugs were usually as far as she got. Gabriel seemed to be full of firsts for her though... After all, Kiera had liked guys in the past before, but none really compared to Gabriel, so when he kissed her, she answered with the most natural response. She kissed him back. Somehow, despite being quite inexpirienced when this sort of thing, Kiera still managed to be a great kisser. Perhaops it was instinct, but there was always the chance that it had to do with all the emotions she felt at the moment, none of them negative.
Gabriel at first was terrified. He had never kissed a girl before. He had never even gotten this close to one before either. But Kiera always seemed to bring the best out in him. He remember they day they first met. she seemed so distant then and he wanted to change that. Ever since then is seemed that it was easier to reach out to others. It was all thanks to her. And as she kissed him back the fear seemed to melt away and filled with a need. A need to be as close to her as possible and never, ever let go. it seemed that the world around them melted, so when the sound of thunder roared outside Gabriel was taken of guard. He jumped a few feet into the air and when he fell backwards he accidentally brought Kiera down with him
When Kiera and Gabriel fell to the ground there were many people who would've been confused, angry, or disappointed. Kiera, on the other hand, thought it was simply hilarious, and ended up bursting into laughter. After all, the two of them where sitting there, on the ground, in an espicially awkward position since she was sort of on top of him. A lot of couples would've gone on into an awkward silence at that point. However, Kiera had never really been the type of person who would willingly engage in an awkward silence. She always felt the need to fill it with some sort of noise, and almost anything would do. In this case, laughter seemed the most appropriate.
Gabril at first was really embarrassed. But than start burst into laughter with Kiera. It didn't take long till his gut started to hurt because he was laughing so hard. It felt so good to laugh, he rarely ever did so. Still laughing he rolled out from under Kiera and held out a hand to help her up. Thunder roared outside and Gabriel noticed it was pouring buckets and only getting worse.
Kiera took his hand and forced herself off the ground, still laughing with him. However when she noticed how destructive the weather seemed at the moment her giggles died down. "I guess I'll hae to stay here for the night," she noted. Of course she didn't mind staying here, but the real problem was with Ciaran and Tynan... Those two could never seem to do anything on their own, so surving on their own might be hard for them. On the other hand, they were teenagers, and should learn how to live without having someone there who they could constantly ask, or in her case force, to do stuff for them.
Gabriel smiled. "I'll sleep on the couch and you can have my bed." He didn't want her to argue with him so he left quickly to go find some extra blankets and pillows for himself. He felt like he had die and gone to heaven. His heart still pounded in his chest and he felt a slit blush still on his cheeks. After grabbing some blankets from under his bed he went back to the living room and laid them an the couch. "I'll make us some dinner and than if you still aren't tired we can tell stories or something?" He suggested after smoothing out the blankets. He looked at Kiera with hopeful eyes. He didn't ever really have friends - or someone more than a friend- so he never got to experience stuff that most people had. He also wanted to talk to Kiera, to get to know how her family life was. He wanted to know her fears, her hopes, and dreams. and more importantly he wanted to be apart of them. He wanted to protect her from her fears and be apart of her dreams.
((GTG for the night, sorry, but i'll try to post in the morning.))
((GTG for the night, sorry, but i'll try to post in the morning.))
(kk, ditto)Kiera was about to argue with him when he abruptly left. Of course she knew that it was for a valid reason, but that didn't stop her from feeling angry for a second. When he came back though, and looked at her with those soulful eyes of his her heart simply melted. Of course the smile that she gave him in return was inevitable, as well as the quick kiss on the cheek. However, when she turned his bedroom lights off and curled up in his bed, breathing in his scent, she found herself crying silently. It was a random action, and she really had no reason for it... At least not one that she realized at the moment. Nonetheless she continued to do so until she finally drifted off to sleep.
*Timeskip*A few hours later...
Kiera found herself startled out of yet another gruesome nightmare. Lately she'd found herself having more and more of them, creeping up on her when she least expected, and preventing her from getting any real rest. However, when she opened her eyes, that wasn't exactly her main concern. Rather, she was more curious as to where she was. Nonetheless, after pondering the question for a few seconds, she finally managed to remember everything about last night, even the way she fell asleep.
Sitting up, Kiera looked around, unsure of what to do. She knew what she wanted to do, but it seemed sort of rude. After all, what girl came to some's house, borrowed their clothes, slept in their bed, and forced them onto a couch, and then had the nerve to also wake them up early? In the end Kiera realized that Gabriel was the kind of guy that'd want to know if something was troubling her... Plus, she was the type of girl that actually might do such a thing. After all, she already had. That's why she didn't feel all too guilty when she carefully tiptoed into the living room and proceded to wake Gabriel. However, to her credit, she did try to do it as gently as possible.
Gabriel had been in a sleep of blackness. The type where you don't really have a dream but you think you might. From in his sleep he could hear a soft noise that slowly , but barley, got louder as it made it way towards him. Sluggishly, but surly he came to consciousness and gripped the knife under his pillow. When a hand touched him he grabbed it and twist, then took the knife out and pointed it at the shadow. Groggily he said, "If you've come here to stop me, it wont work." He held the knife a bit closer to the person, but as his eyes began to adjust he felt it slip from his hand. "Kiera!" He said in alarm. "I'm so sorry!" He let go of her wrist.
Kiera wasn't quite sure what happened when Gabriel awaoke. She saw a flash, probably the knife, and suddenly her wrist was twisted in a rather painful position. However, when his slightly glazed over eyes become alert again, he did let go and apologize. "Well I guess that's what I get for waking you up in the middle of the night," she remarked, and though the incident had definetely woken her up, she was still a bit too sleepy to sound humorous. Kiera wasn't angry though... At least not too much. Instead she felt rather shocked. After all, it had happened so fast she didn't even properly register what happened.Bending down to pick up the knife she found herself further astounded by a stange deja vu feeling. She'd seen a knife a lot like this before... It had been in her family for generations. However, it was different from other knives because it had been stolen from the outside world. Carefully picking up the knife, she examined it very thorouhly, then she looked up at Gabriel. "Where'd you get this?" she asked him softly, as if attempting to move past what had happened less than a minute ago.
(OMG! I laughed soooooooooooo hard when I read what he did, and honestly the only way it could be funnier would be if he ended up stabbing her or something... I know that makes me sound like a terrible person and all, but seriously! It's just soooo epic fail-ish!)
((hahah ya i just thought it was time to show that ninja side of Gabe!))
Gabriel took the knife from Kiera andput it behind his back. "It's nothing." He said quickly. "Just a knife my father gave me." He glanced at Kiera and tried to change the subject. "So what did you need? Are you ok?" He said with a small smile.

Kiera bit her lip, slightly embarassed. She just didn't know how to out her current situation into words. After all, it wasn't like she was afraid of the dark, or the night, in fact, she loved both of them. Before her nightmares started, she often found comfort in the shadows, which hid her from her fears. However, the nightmares ruined that for her, preventing her from getting too much sleep. In the end, she did manage to formulate the simplest of setences. "I had a nightmare," Kiera informed him quietly, fearing that he would laugh at her childishness. When she had nightmares as a little girl, she had onced tried to seek comfort in her parents. However, her mother wasn't the type of person who knew how to comfort someone else, and her father scolded her for being such a child. As for Tynan... Kiera simply didn't want to seem weak in front of her younger twin. Therefore, he never found out about any of her problems, and seeking help had, from then on, never been something Kiera was very good at doing.(Kiera may not be a ninja... But she sure is scary sometimes :) )
(( you got that right! and that's not implied in a bad way.. ))
Gabriel grabbed Kiera's hand and gently pulled her into a hug. If he could understand one thing it was that nightmares could make life miserable. "If you want I could come and sleep in the bedroom with you?" He said gently.

Kiera was slightly startled by his hug, it was just so unexpected. After all, she expected a him to laugh at or ridicle her, not offer her comfort. However, one she got past her initial shock she found herself enjoying the hug. It was a rather simple gesture, but definetely one that meant a lot to Kiera, who had never recieved something like this, espicially when it mattered most. Nonetheless, her astonishment didn't stop there. Gabriel continued to offer her kindness. It took Kiera a few seconds before she could formulate a response, since she wasn't quite sure if it would be rude to accept his favor. In the end, she decided that Gabriel wasn't the type of person to offer something he wasn't willing to give or do. "Yes please," she told him quietly, her voice sounding like that of a frightened child, alone and helpless. After all, that's what she felt like, a little girl, faced with nightmares she had never quite gotten over because she had no one to help her face her fears... Not before now at least.
Gabriel gave her a soft squeeze before letting go. He new what it was like to be frightened and have no one there. That's how it was when I first came here. He thought. He didn't want anyone to feel like he did, especially Kiera
Reluctantly and slowly Gabriel pulled away from the embrace. He felt like her hug was holding him together rather than the other way around. "Shall we?" He asked holding out his hand. With his other he quickly grabbed the knife and tucked it into his pants, not wanting Kiera to see.

Kiera nodded slightly, a hopeful smile blooming on her face. Taking his hand felt somehow like a promise, as if he was promising to be there for her. Although she didn't know how long this would last, Kiera still found herself feeling blissful. After all, it was like her wish had finally come true, and she had someone she could trust with just about anything. She wasn't sure if he felt the same way, but Kiera hoped he did. Trust was two sided, and if one side didn't trust the other... Everything tended to fall apart.
As Kiera took his hand, it was like he could feel the last of her barriers fall down. Gabriel felt like he was being entrusted with a glass heart, very easy to break. But he didn't want to break it, he wanted to protect it. With every fiber of his being he would protect it. He just hopped that Kiera trusted him too do so. But as they walked to the room and laid down on the bed together, it was if he could hear Kiera speaking to him, saying that she did trust him. And as he slipped under the covers he wrapped his arms around Kiera, he whispered, "I promise to never let go."
Kiera found herself loosing the will to speak. He was just so close, his heart beating against her own, which beat like a drum. It was so loud that she swore he could hear it, or perhaps she was just imagining it? Either way, with his arms around her she was quickly able to fall asleep, her dreams no longer as frightening as before. It was like Gabriel's mere presence had scared off all of Kiera's fears, and she didn't have anything left to be afraid of.(They should wake up in a really awkward position of some sort...)
(hahah ok like Kiera on his chest or maybe they could be extreme spooning?? you choose!))
(( oh and I thought this pic totally reminded me of our characters! http://files.myopera.com/Itsfriyn/alb... )) ( But kiera wearing all black XD)
(hmmm, I'll get a pick really quick!)
(So like hugging? Um... I think option one's better... And Gabriel should be the one to wake up first... So that he may be in a super awkward position, unable to decide whether to move or not! *Evil laughter* :3))

(haha ok cool and ikr? ok here i go)
Gabriel opened his eye a bit and quietly groaned at the light that greeted him. He didn't feel like waking up, he was so warm. he tried to go back to sleep but failed, and anyway something seemed to be at the edge of his mind. He opened his eyes again -more slowly this time- and looked around the room. The first thing he noticed was Kiera laying on his chest with one hand on the left side of his chest. He thought she looked like a cuddly animal as she slept, of course he would never say that to her. As he lay there his stomach growled and he realized they had never eaten last night. He put his hands behind his head as he thought. He didn't want to wake her up but he did want to be make them breakfast.
