Hahas, erm, okay. Allow me to give some ideas (just suggestions):- we can do some fantasy thing (dragons, castles, etc.)
- historical thing (pick a period)
- supernatural (mermaids, faeries, vampires, etc.)
- based on a book (dunno what though)
- modern life (though it's tough to come up with interesting plotlines for this one.)
Yes! I love it when we get to have both.Historical and paranormal. I like this one. But let's think of some plot line before we start anything or it might get boring.
I like that idea. Racing to reach (or fight) destiny filled with interesting characters. We're practically writing our own book.
Erm okay.How about:
- Regency/Victorian era
- Elizabethean era
- Greek/Roman era
- Erm, that's all the eras I've got, sorry
Supernatural creatures:
- We can be part of the creatures, being hunted down by humans.
- We can be the hunters of dark creatures.
- We can be hunted down by the creatures.
As for destiny:
- We can have a limited amount of time to get *insert object/person* to the *insert place* before the next full moon/summer solstice/equinox/etc.
- We are destined to overthrow some tyrannical King
That's all I have for now.
Okay, so we are part faeries/werewolves/vampires/witches/whatever being hunted down my humans possibly for our blood and its properties or our knowledge or they mistaken our kind for a menance, etc.All my ideas are above, sorry so I'm counting on you for something.
Voila. C'est fini! Looking good. Let's just do medieval then I guess. Yay! We're done.Let's make characters then. So what do we do? Boy-boy, girl-boy or two girls? I mean, character wise, not relationship wise of course.
You can be the girl. So what's our situation? How do we know each other? Do we need to fall in love with one another or someone else?
So I'll be the boy. You can be the girl. Will we fall in love with each other or some other random people we'll occasionally RP?Okay, I like the motive. My guy will be mercenary like; cynical and doesn't think all this action relates to him. He doesn't want to help but does in the end (kind of like Casablanca if you've seen it).
(Of all the requests, in all the groups, in all of GoodReads, you had to walk into this one <- Hope I did that right. PS, sorry for replying so late! I never saw this notification :/))Oh yeah *sheepish smile* I tend to over think. Okay. Let's make our characters!
((Oh PS if you need some visual for Phillip, he looks like this a bit: (view spoiler)))Phillip lounged up in a pine tree branch, reclining against the enormous trunk and watching the sun creep up over the forest horizon. It was alive with clicking and squawking, the animals arising for another day.
The golden rays shone on his pale and cold skin. He could hardly feel the warmth. Strapped on his back was his quiver of arrows and his bow was in his other hand. He felt the ridges of the grip, the worn wood and the carvings he had etched in himself. They were protection marks, superstitious runes running up and down the bow.
His enjoyment of the pearly morning light deteriorated quickly as he didn't feel its warmth or heat. Twitching his mouth annoyedly to the side, he stood quickly, his balance perfect. Quick as a flash, he slipped off his branch and landed on others as he descended.
Pine needles crunched under his boots as he touched the ground. Glancing around quickly, he stalked through the woods, headed nowhere.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
((It's alright. Just a reference in case you were wondering.))Phillip listened to the cacophony of sounds that had erupted with the sunrise. Sky larks called from above and tiny song birds tweeted below. There was an eerie silence to the woods, an echoing of time almost that rebounded off the trees and swayed in the breeze. This feeling of eternity lifted his mood the slightest bit as he kept walking.
His mind roamed over subjects, never settling down on anything particular as anything new or exciting quickly replaced the last topic he pondered about. It was this distracted nature that didn't allow him to sense that another person was near. His fae abilities should have told him, if he was focusing.
((Thanks. I'm always lacking it these days.))Phillip continued onwards, looking at the grounds in his thoughts. The pine needles that covered the forest floor showed signs of another person's passing, Lily's actually, and so he paused, peering over the footsteps carefully. His eyes trailed it to the set of trees where Lily hid.
He remained very still, deciding what to do. His grip on his bow tightened and his fingers twitched to notch an arrow. Instead, he did something that even surprised himself.
"Who's there?" he called.
He flicked his eyes over her from head to toe, assessing whether she would be a threat or not. "Who are you?" he asked without much politeness, quite intrigued by this new character.
He lowered his gaze to the pine needles underneath her feet. "Phillip Moncrieff of the Forest." he assumed it was clear he was not entirely human. She could guess his origins with his name. "Why do you wander these woods Lily of Myrria?"
"Ah, a question for a question. How fitting. I am part fae my not-entirely human stranger." he replied flatly, strapping his bow back around his back.
"Quite the mix. And you reside in these woods? I thought I would have seen you by now. I travel far and wide in my many unoccupied hours. However, that is not the point. You still have not answered my question on why you are about the forest, and so well equipped too." he gestured at her knife.
"Very well. Allow me to leave you undisturbed for your walk." he almost sneered. His temper flared again, his mood no longer pleasant.
He stopped his departure to spin quickly back to look at her. He then tried to calm himself. "Not too sure myself. Perhaps seeking my next adventure?"
Now she was becoming interesting. He walked closer. "That is a far way from the woods. No, I have not been but why a forest girl like you would be interested in it is quite beyond me." he smirked, leaning against the nearest tree.
"Well from what I've heard, yes, streets of gold and silver, buildings like those we've only dreamed about, wealthy citizens with dresses of every size, shape and fabric...the list goes on. I suppose it's only natural for a girl to imagine such things." he smiled at his own comment.
"You misunderstand Lily of the Forest. I was merely teasing. There is no need to draw offense from my ill-put words. I apologise." he bowed curtly. "So now may I know why you intend to leave this sanctuary," he gestured the forest "for the Capital?"((Now I gotta sleep. Night!))
((Hahas, I've never had THAT happen.))"Ah. Purpose." his tone was no longer light or disinterested. "May I inquire why the King has your brother?"
((That's what I heard too...))"I heard he's cracking down on us...undesirable mongrels if I'm to quote the latest papers. You'll find that this forest is the most peaceful of all the places you plan on visiting." he sighed, reaching up and shaking the branch just above his head.
"I cannot say. The King has ways to increase his reach." he sighed, feeling a twinge of sympathy for her situation. "Tell you what. I can escort you to the main highway if you need." it was uncharacteristically nice of him.
"Well, naturally watch your money and your surroundings. You don't know how much you'll pick up from looking at others. Watch for the thieves and highway men, mercenaries, deserters, beggars, ruffians...the list goes on. But I can tell you might be adept with a knife already," he gestured at her thumb rubbing her knife "so I'll just go with you. What do you say?"
"Thank you. I guess we should be going since you seem to be in a hurry to escape home. Are you sneaking out?" he asked, curious at her large bag as he began to walk.
"Ah, always a valid explanation." he said sarcastically as he clasped his hands behind his back and began his languid walk, pine needles crunching under his boots.
"Well, as you can see, I'm a winter fae, well, at least part fae, so I spend my days hunting, meditating and lazying about, waiting for my next adventure which I'm pretty sure is with you." he smiled.
"Well yes. My fae mother and my human father but...we hardly keep in touch. Bird and fish scenario you know. No place where they can both live so I'm just travelling between their realms." he told her with a sigh.
"Sure. When I get to see them, it's alright I guess." he said but quickly moved on "And you? How about your family. You must be close to your brother."
"That's good...to have someone to share your experiences with. How was he captured then?" Phillip asked, seeing the road ahead.
He stopped too. "No one ever expects it coming. The King is as moodier than an old sea hag. One day he's persecuting us with an iron fist and the next, he's reclining on divans and watching jousts." he sighed, looking at his feet.
He turned to hear the sound distinctly and nodded. His first instinct was to climb up a tree with his agility but then he recalled he was with company, for once. "Up a tree or behind a bush?" he asked.
Phillip quickly dashed over to a different tree, to decrease the chances they both would be caught and agilely pulled himself up in swift and graceful motions. He didn't give it a second thought as he rested on the upper branches and looked at the wagon roll along the road.
Phillip nodded. He wondered if there was anything inside the wagon. This man was most likely a craftsman, travelling to the market or to find trade. The Rottweiler was a liability. It could sniff them out.
Phillip glanced over the dog and immediately, snapped a small branch from his tree. The Rottweiler paused his barking to look in the direction of the noise.
Phillip shook his branche and its leaves, making it sound as if there was a creature up above. He then whistled one of the common bird calls he had heard several times.
The Rottweiler was curious but hesitant to leave Lily's tree.
Phillip whistled out to him again and dropped a branch.
The dog's attention was caught and he sprinted over to investigate the fallen object. Phillip signalled Lily to move out, to jump onto another tree, to do anything.
Phillip nodded, seeing her move away and made his own escape, swiftly moving into another tree's canopy, balancing with agility as he crouched on an unstable branch.'Where did she go?' he was looking for Lily, but then realised it was the main road he had promised to her her to. He didn't have to follow her anymore.
But he wanted to.
He stood tall and tried to find her.
Phillip descended from his tree when he spotted Lily. But she was walking off and away. So this was it.Was he going back into the forest, where he could languidly pass blissful days, ignorant of the world around him or was he going to follow her and be a part of something bigger?
He mumbled a curse to himself before tightening the straps on his quiver and belt and dashing silently after her.
Phillip caught up with her and stopped in front, panting lightly. "I..." he didn't know exactly what to say. "You were about to leave. So, I followed." he decided upon meekly.
"I...want to follow you to the city. And save your brother with you. But most importantly, I want to stand up to the King. Someone should." he hoped it would make enough sense in her eyes.
"Thank you. That's what I wanted to hear. So, you don't mind sharing supplies with me?" he asked innocently, restarting the walk.
"That makes sense. I have some money on me and I have my trusted bow." he patted his weapon affectionately, grinning at her as he did.
