Patrí Because I didn't like the sudden change of scenes.

Neither did i!!!! i thought it was unnecessary and kind of random.

Tina J I don't think anyone in their right mind would like Rule. lol
Chris actually grew on me and I felt bad for Tom, because I felt like I was starting to prefer Chris over Tom.

Alex Wix I can't like Chris. I just think he came on wayyy to strong onto Alex even though he was aware that she had a male companion. HELLO?!
But he's a nice enough guy.
I don't know about anybody else, but I'm getting sick and tired of goddamn love triangles. That isn't how life works; hell anybody would be lucky to get one boy to give a shit about them, let alone two. Boys never run after girls anymore and it sickens me to see how many girls are willing to run toward them because of their laziness. I lost hope in my generation ages ago because of this truth. RANT COMPLETE boop*

Elizabeth I actually liked Chris. I don't know about you but I kinda think he might just have a super sense because of the sent he left other than the apple sent. Tom I think is a little to old for Alex I am stuck between Tom and Chris but like Chris the most because of his personality. :)

Sheryl did u guys find the second book interesting than the first because i feel like she added random things in there

Beth I'm sick of love triangles too! I didn't finish Shadows...it was too hard to keep track of everything. It's a shame too, but she had a good concept. I loved Ashes, but cannot recommend it because I couldn't stand the second book. Sigh!

Elizabeth I read the second book and my view point is wayyy different now from when I first got to know the characters. I hate love triangles. And I now like tom. I am angry now though because Tom is turning into a changed or whatever you prefer. I did not like the change on POV in the book even though it helps me know what will happen when monster come out on the first of February!

So, you are planning to read the third book? I just don't know if I can. I couldn't even finish the second one. I may wait and see what the reviewers say. It's a shame too, because I really liked the first one!

Sheryl I'm the same I'm getting so confuse took my characters and don't like the sudden changes

Sheryl I meant too many characters

Elizabeth Yes, I am going to read the last book Monsters. I have read quite a few book with multiple POV's and am sure this one is not as bad as the Gone series by Michel Grant. It had at least 30 characters soo this series POV's is a walk in the park. Yet i am still able to keep all the characters strait. I am an avid reader so if you don't read a lot of books I guess it is kinda hard to get used to all the characters. Not to mention I started the series last year 2012, on september so i did not have to wait for the second book.

I could keep track of everyone, but I just couldn't see where she was going with it. The first book was so good, I just expected more.

Maureen McGowan I did start to lose interest in this book when she ended up in Rule... It started to feel like a different story. But overall, I did enjoy the book...

Ally I would hate for this book to be another book with a love triangle, but I want tom to be alive. No matter how much Chris loves her I would still pick Tom and get the hell out of Rule

Erika Hébert Well I think the Rule was supposed to be hated. As for Chris, he seems like a mixed bag. We barely know anything about him or his history, but he seems like a nice guy. That being said, I like Tom better. And while Rule and everyone in it is some where between messed up and evil, that was my favorite part of the book.

message 17: by Ven (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ven I hate the Rule and the people in there except Chris because I like him. It just happened that I more like Tom.

Ashley I HATED RULE SO MUCH IT MADE ME SO UNCOMFORTABLE AND CHRIS NEEDED TO GO AWAY. SHE HAD TOM AND I DID NOT WANT HER TO BE WITH ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT HIM ASKGJNAKJGNERG

Makayla well i think chris was a nice enough boy, and probably would have made a good boyfriend. but Tom is not only older but he's also injured and may not survive. deep down i think Alex knew this, and thats why she let chris kiss her.

Abigail Georges I like Chris. I have read all 3 books and now I am rereading them. I really can not stand Rule but I believe Chris is just misunderstood. He has basically been brainwashed ever since he came to Rule. Since he had things to make him content there was no need for him to question anything that was going on. Also having Peter to help influence him didn't help him. Now that Alex is on the line he needs to question his life. I love Chris even more than Tom.
