Tschingis Aitmatow (german name on the book title) and Chingiz Aitmatov (english name, or Chinghiz aka Wikipedia?) are the same.

Is it possible to join both?

Is there a place to add different spellings of author names?

Effectively each author should have a single profile and unique name. If various data sources use slightly different spellings of an author name, the two author profiles, should be merged together.

If you have doubt regarding the correct author name, you can refer to The Library of Congress

This is not correct. The primary author (first listed) on all editions should be be the same name. However, alternate spellings and character sets are added as secondary authors.

I moved the single book from the second to the first profile and combined with other editions of that book.

Can you combine the books listed by Doug Swanson and Doug J. Swanson as they are the same. Also, it seems there are two author info pages, one for each variation, too.

I hope I have the correct forum. There is a book titled Codename: Viper by Jaden. This is my book and I would like to add it to my author page "Jaden Kelley". Also, I have a copy of the cover to this book and would like to have that added as well. Can you help me with this?

Sorry, I'm not sure where to post this. The first book listed below (Kindle 1) has two authors (recently changed by GR), by the other two editions still have only one author listed. Should it be both authors for all editions? I'm not sure.

Normally the first author on a book is the name on the cover (pen name) and the author's real name is listed second. I've added that to the other two books.

I moved all books to your J.L. profile and combined them.
I also separated Watermarks and Ana Martin.

Most of the Blood Legacy series is under "Kerri Hawkins" but the last book, "Origin of Species" (ISBN 978-0-9766231-5-1) is under "Kerri A. Hawkins" and therefore is separated out from the rest. Can they be combined as a whole under "Kerri Hawkins?" Thanks!

I hope this is the right place. Quite some time back I created a Goodreads profile. I had no clue what I was doing - as shown by the using of two 'r's' at the end of my name.

My current profile that I'm writing with is my new primary author page profile - is there any way the above older profile can be quietly erased? Or do I need to dig out ancient l/p and somehow cancel the account?

Ian, both accounts are listed as GoodReads Author, so librarians cannot do anything. I'll post this in the thread for the staff to handle and they'll fix you right up ;)

@Sandra thank you. Its a mess entirely made by me. Now I'm properly here to stay, my older account is still floating around, misspelled surname and all.. I'm just trying to clean up the mess I made :)

Yes, it's in Polish.

Cleaned up 50. Please confirm: this author originally writes/wrote in Russian, and some of his works are translated to Polish? None to English?
