i have a felling, that if vincent is dead and then kate goes with jules it will spoil the whole lot for me.
found this on amy plums facebook I will not lose another person I love. I will not let history repeat itself.
Vincent waited lifetimes to find me, but in an instant our future together was shattered. He was betrayed by Violette, someone we both called a friend, and I lost him. Now Violette is determined to rule over France’s immortals, and she’s willing to wage a war to get what she wants.
It shouldn’t be possible, none of it should be, but this is my reality. I know Vincent is somewhere out there, I know he’s not completely gone, and I will do anything to save him.
After what we’ve already fought to achieve, a life without Vincent is unimaginable. He once swore to avoid dying—to go against his nature and forsake sacrificing himself for others—so that we could be together. How can I not risk everything to bring my love back to me?
and this page 3 IF I SHOULD DIE "I looked out over the rippling water and imagined Vincent materializing before me. The soft black of his hair. The sapphire flash of his dark eyes. His tall, solid frame. Vincent's phantom hung suspended over the waves for a moment, glimmering transparently in the moonlight, before dissolving back into my mind's eye."
I agree, I read somewhere (slight spoiler maybe) that jules is in love with Kate. I really hope that the third book isnt a kate/Jules thing coz I think that would be rather harsh on Vincent (dead or not), and i think it would ruin the book for me. Personally I don't think he is dead. Maybe his connection with Kate or that he saved her more than once has some impact on his soul . But then even if he comes back surely he would be his (death age) again. And maybe Kate will turn into a revenant if she saves/ dies for Vincent.

I think Vincent's body was destroyed, but I think his spirit is still around. Know it's bazaar to speculate it but I somehow think that Jules will sacrifice himself somehow and Vincent's spirit will move to his body. I know it's crazy, bu that's my theory.

No. I refuse to believe that he's dead dead. Not just Reverant dead. And even if he is, I will forever be in denial. Also, I will cry through all of the next book.
I totally agree with you Chelsie. Absolutely agree. I will bawl my eyes out if I find out he is dead. Yeah, it would suck if Kate and Jules got together. Team Vincent!
I really really hope to goodness that Vincent isn't dead. My life would be over if that were to happen -.-
Actually...I thought the ending of Until I Die told us that Vincent was dead. Kate says that she just somehow knows that he's dead. Plus, she hears him say in her mind, "MON ANGE." (we all know that was Vincent's nickname for Kate) But has anyone noticed a shadow in the corner of the cover of If I Should Die????
I swear...MAYBE IT'S VINCENT!!!!!!!
I think he isnt dead as he is valuable to Violette and plus if Vincent died i would burn all of the books because he CANT DIE !!!!
I don't think he is dead. I think he is in spirit form and his body is still being held captive somewhere with Violette. then again, eading the passage posted by Natalie, that sounds like his body has been destroyed. Hmmm.I suspect that Kate is "the champion," not Vincent, which means she has to become a revenent first. Maybe she will die saving Vincent from his body-less existence and become a revenent.
Spoiler ALert!!!!The first part of chapter 1 in at the end of the Novella on Amazon. It answers this question!
He can't die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's that he became one of my most lovable fictional character in the first book itself. And if he dies than Amy Plum will have a hater. Since I love Vincent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Greta wrote: "I think Vincent's body was destroyed, but I think his spirit is still around. If Jules gives up his body - according to your theory - than I will own him my life. Cause in Die for Her he actually likes her the same way Vincent does.
It's kind of confusing because in the end of the 2nd book she says she felt Violette destroy him but then in the summary for the 3rd book she keeps talking about Vincent, and how she would find him.
No...I highly doubt it. I'm reading the 3rd book right now and I'm thinking...how can she really write a 3rd book and not have Vincent come back to life somehow? There are too many clues and different information that Kate is gathering for that to happen. Now I won't give anything away, so just read the 3rd book!
