American Historical Fiction discussion

I love to scrounge the library sales and always on the hunt for long lost books worthy of a new life. Can't call them yet, but here's a couple of interesting finds.

George Rogers Clark. I really liked Thom's Follow the River.

Have you read Elswyth Thane's Williamsburg novels?

Just the first two. Loved them.

The third one, Ever After is also largely American, and very good. The series goes more international, with a lot of settings in England, after that.

Ever After's setting is the Spanish-American War.

This is one of several unfinished series I need to get back to. I keep getting side-tracked.

I need to pick up Long Knife, have you read it before?

No, but I do want to read more from Thom. He's got one on Lewis and Clark. The title escapes me and I really need to get back to working today :/
