So i have some questions for you guys... I'd like to know what your favorite scene is from either Forsaken or Awaken! Any why?

Tohrutohno | 3 comments mmmm I have so many it's hard to know where to start. I think most of mine would be from Awaken.

1- I love the scene where Stasia finds out about the betrothal and wakes to ask Finn about it. The scene played out so intense and I was impressed that you actually had the strong male lead tearing up. That was great! I don't think I've seen that too often if at all. You really get a sense of how crushed they both are (I really want a window into Finn's head here! ;D ) only so they can be separated indefinitely and nothing gets resolved. AAAAHH!

2- The scene in the haunted house. This scene was great for so many reasons but the top of the list is; Unexpected. I thought 'yea, they'll run into a ghost or two, have a chat like Bianca, no biggie', but what I got was like a scene right out of a horror movie. It was dark, it was heavy, it was totally not what I saw coming. It was awesome! It's refreshing to see someone not write a sappy sweet and barely pg-13 paranormal romance, but something with a real darkness to it.

3- The scene where Stasia unknowingly goes to visit Finn in his fasting cell. This was unbelievably real and raw. Even though he is right in front of her, her feelings are one of a real loss. The need, the ache, the hesitance. I don't think it could have been more beautifully written. I do wonder if Finn ever realized she was there when he wakes up.

4- I guess these would be from both books, but I like the flashbacks into Stasia's past. They help build a character with fierce inner strength , and it's nice to see one that has acquired it from real life experiences, not miraculously just born with it like so many other female leads. I know this can be broken down into a nature vs nurture battle, but we so rarely see the latter, I think that it's important to point out since there could be readers out there going through similar situations who would identify. In a way, her strength could help them find their strength.
