When you receive the book you are reviewing please post a link to the book here on the round thread. That way the author can check you have the correct file, and the mods can check you are all on track OK.

When you post you review on GR post a link to the review here on the round thread so that we can all get to it easily, and again it will make the mods lives easier.

Steve, you're quite right. Jay is on vacation, and I'm doing the mod work this week (yi yi yi) with help from other mods.
Your solution won't work, however. I'm set up to review you in Round 3, right? I've just written to you asking for your book. So you can't review me in Round 4.
We can take you off your review in Round 4 and find someone else to review Marie-Anne. Anyone else see a different solution?

Hi. I see I'm scheduled to review Anne's book. Anne looks like a lovely person, and her book is getting great reviews. I am not a fan of fantasy of any kind, nor of paranormal anything, so I think I'm a bad match for this review. May I switch or beg off? No one should get a bad match, IMHO. I wouldn't want someone who doesn't like mysteries to review my book, e.g.

Sandra, I happen to be the moderator this week, pinch-hitting for Jay, so I need to be the one to answer your request, even though it's my book lol. Actually, the book is very lightly paranormal; it's mostly a women's issues book. Rabid paranormal/fantasy readers in general don't like it. I can tell you that making switches is VERY difficult, and we have agreed we will only allow it if the objection is extreme--like it's against someone's religion. As an example, Mike just reviewed a Christian book, and he's a-religious. So, the bottom line is, I have to say no. Your reactions, even though you're not a paranormal reader (I'm not either, by the way)will be just as valuable to me. Okay? If you would please PM me your email address, I'll send you my PDF. Thank you for being so gracious, Anne! I've received the book, and read the first 3 chapters, and am happy to review it. Maybe it's because the protagonist shares my hair color. ;-)

Folks, Lauren (a reviewer-only member) has enthusiastically agreed to review Marie-Anne's Whorticulture for Round 4, since Steve has a reciprocal problem.
Steve could be restng on his laurels, but instead he'll be reviewing Sylvie's book(she'll get a double shot this time), just to be a nice guy.

Oh -it's OK - just read Anne's comment. Sorry I am not with it. In the middle of a book blog tour and it's exhausting - fun though.

It is a bit like swimming in soup yes. I am at a loss to find the nearest purveyor of bitter. I fear it will involve swimming 'the sleeve' which must be a little like swimming in soup anyway.

Hi Hock, no, authors do not have the right to ask reviewers to remove reviews on goodreads because that is not fair to the reviewer.

Would you like a real treat? Without Steve you have no-one to review, and Marie-Anne has no-one to give her a review. How about reviewing her book instead? It's been very highly rated by the members who have read it so far. Your alternative is to accept the free ride for this round.

I'll read Marie-Anne's. Have noticed its great reviews, so obviously I'm curious.. :)

Sorry Hock, I didn't see your message until just now. It's fine on here only. Of course I wouldn't ask for it to be removed from Goodreads. That would be bad form especially since the point of this group is to give honest reviews.

I don't know if Marie-Anne told you, but if not, I am excited to do so. I joined LinkedIn, and one of my contacts there wrote on my blog that she was going on my recommendation of Marie-Anne's book and she purchased it due to the review on my blog! :) That is the reason I started this blog to give all of us indies the exposure. I am so happy to have been part of that! :)

Great news, Rebecca :) Keep up the good work. Marie-Anne's book is worthy of all the exposure we can give it, as are several more that I've come across from the RG members.
