The Book Nympho Hi, I'm Jennifer the face behind The Book Nympho
When I'm not working full time, attending college part time or being Mommy to the sweetest 6 year old son, I'm reading. And sometimes I'm reading when I should be doing the other things.
Genres I usually read are Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Erotic Romance (does not have to be paranormal themed) and I've recently gotten into Contemporary Romance.
You can find me on Twitter @TheBookNympho And Facebook
Hi, Ursula. Thanks for the invite. I've been a member of Good Reads for a while but haven't really participated too much as I don't really know my way around the site. I hope to remedy that by starting here. In addition to being a romance writer, I'm also a freelance business writer (case studies, white papers, grant proposals, etc.) I'm also a voracious reader, an amateur gardener, an enthusiastic cook, and "mom" to two Dobermans who think they are lapdogs.

A couple of mine:
Kindle Smut - great group - all sorts of Romances - but they lean toward PNR ( my fav )
Erogenous Zone - readers of Erotic books (they lean towards BDSM however)
Paranormal, Sci fi and Fantasy Erotica / PNR Addicts
Adult Vampire/Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy
and oh yeah - I'm Susan, I'm an AVID reader, I recently started writing and have two books written - self promotion on another thread - I garden, take tons of photos (for over 40 years) - yeah, I'm old! lol
I raise pygmy goats - they keep our 10 acres clear and have babies! duhhh - I sell them as pets and have YET to find out that ANY of my buyers...gulp... eat them!
We live rural so we have the required chickens (for fresh brown eggs!), cats inside and outside, dogs inside and outside, and we adopted an abandoned burro we renamed HOMER! LOL He protects my "tribe" (that's what a group of goats is called!)
I work full time downtown (about 20 mi away) as exec. asst. (secretary) for a title company.
I crochet (afghans),

work with wood (crafts)

I dabble with painting, sketching

Way more hobbies than time!
Hi all! Thanks to Ursula for the invite! Only getting my head around the goodreads groups now despite being on the site for ages. I admin a group on Shelfari called All Genres! As I love reading a wide variety of reading genres from horror to classic, young adult, fantasy/sci fi and historicsl fiction to name a few of my favourites.
Ursula wrote: "Introduce yourself to other members!"Hi Ursula, Thanks for the invitation. Good to see you again!
Hi, Jonetta here. I've been on GR for a shade under two years and enjoy most genres. I'm also an associate reviewer for The Book Nympho blog and review every book I read. I'm looking forward to learning more about what others are reading and their personal reading experiences. Thanks for the invite, Ursula.
Hello everybody! Thanks for invite, Ursula. :)I'm a uni student who loves reading romance, mysteries, and suspense novels above all else.
I also spend entirely too much time on Tumblr. You can find me here if you're so inclined :P - http://bukwyrm.tumblr.com/
Hi y'all! I'm Touya from The Reader's Garden. I'm a young adult/new adult reader and blogger; an aspiring writer and a graphic artist. ^_^
Thanks, Ursula for the invite!
Thank you for the invite, Ursula. I'm a published author of two young adult books and a series in the crime/suspense genre. I work full time as a paralegal and enjoying scrapbooking as a hobby. And of course, reading.
Thanks for the invite, Ursula! I've been a member on Goodreads for a couple years, but I never really found my way around the site. It's nice to see a friendly face on here. :)My favorite authors are Jasper Fforde, Stephen King, JK Rowling and Christopher Moore, but I'll read just about anything with a good story.
Jonetta wrote: "Good to see you here, Belles!"Hey there, Jonetta! I recognize you from Shelfari. Good to see another familiar face (so to speak) here on Goodreads.
Thanks for the invite. I'm Bella, Beleza, Bel or whatever else comes to mind that is similar to any of those. Like a lot of people, I have been on GR for a long time, but I am not very ACTIVE, SOCIALLY THAT IS on here, mainly use it to keep track of my reading.
Hi everyone!!! I was just browsing around Goodreads groups looking for a group to join and found this one. It looks interesting so I decided to join.
I'm an avid reader. I have been one since I was little. I read just about anything except erotica, horror, not a huge sci-fi fan but have read some I liked, I will sometimes read fantast but it isn't a favorite either. My favorite genres are mystery and I also like historical fiction.

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you.My name is Jean. I love reading Regency Romantic Suspense, Paranormal Romance and Jayne Ann Krentz novels. Oh, and Japanese Shoujou Manga which has a lot of themes similar to Regency romances.
Looking forward to the discussions here!
I'm so glad you joined, Kris. Welcome!Hello and welcome, Jean! I must say I've never heard of Japanese Shoujou Manga and am looking forward to you sharing your experience with some of the books in that genre.

Hi Jonetta!
Thank you for the welcome.
Manga are Japanese comic books and Shoujou (sometimes spelled Shojo) is geared towards teenage girls and female readers.
There are a lot of parallels between Regency English society and Japanese society so there's a lot of themes that are common - like mistaken identity, gender bending, crossing social class, paranormal romance and societal pettiness. These themes are often treated with moments of humor and moments of seriousness.
Here are a few I can think of that are available in English:
Class issues/Societal Pettiness and scheming
Maid Sama!, Vol. 01
Ultimate Venus, Volume 1
Paranormal Romance
Black Bird, Vol. 1
Vampire Knight, Volume 1
Satire that makes fun of all the themes in Shoujou Manga
Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 01
My all time favorite series doesn't exactly fit into the categories but the heroine is such a strong character who develops as the story moves forward. I was initially put off by the synopsis but was glad that I finally picked up this series. I love all the characters in the series!
Skip Beat!, Vol. 1
Thanks for indulging me rattling off about Shoujou manga. It's one of my favorites!
Well, I learned something today, which is a good thing. Thanks for enlightening us on this genre...really!
Hi everyone! Thanks for the invite Jonetta!I'm a student in junior high and as you understand my free time is limited, but what I actually have I spend it in doing my favorite leisure activity, Reading!
I've started reading books in English the last 3 years (my mother tongue is Greek) and I prefer genres like romance, contemporary romance, historical romance and some fiction... My favorite author is Nora Roberts and I'm really hooked on her series as J.D. Robb, In Death. In fact,I read anything that has an interesting plot and cathes my eye!
Looking forward to our future discussions!
Welcome and thanks for joining, Mary! I know your time may be limited so we are glad to have you participate whenever you can. Good luck with your reading in a foreign language, too.
It's my pleasure to join such an intresting group!!! And thanks, I'm gonna need all the luck I can get since next Saturday I'm going to give exams for my last English certificate....Anyways, thanks again!
Hey guys! Thanks for the group invite Jonetta! I'm Alvin, recently joined.

Welcome, Alvin, and thanks for joining! I hope you'll also share with the group your favorite Fantasy titles. I'm going to add this to our genre list.
Hi all! I'm Tracey from London, UK. I work full time and I am a mum of 2 girls (my husband is a stay at home dad) and a Brownie leader. I read in whatever spare gaps I can find! I have been on Goodreads for a couple of months but I'm still trying to find my way around.I like lots of genres but my 2 favourite would be historical fiction and mystery/suspense.
Thanks for the invite Jonetta.

Thanks for the invite Jonetta. I joined Goodreads this summer and think this is a fantastic way to be introduced to some great books that I might otherwise have missed. So thanks in advance for all the insights each of you will provide on your reading material. I primarily prefer romantic suspense novels and published my first novel in July 2012...if you are interested in this genre, check out Hidden Refractions by Mary Anne MacCrone. I would love to hear your feedback.
Hi all. Thanks for the invite Jonetta! I've been on GR since June and have loved every minute of it. Looking forward to see what's people takes on books are. I mainly read romance, but occasionally enjoy a mystery, thriller here and there.
Welcome Quynh! Thanks for accepting the invite. While I love mysteries, I've been reading quite a bit of romance the last couple of years.
Hi everyone! Thanks for the invite, Ursula. Nice to see lots of familiar faces in here, as well as some new ones. :) My name is Liz and I'm a voracious reader of all things romance. I Iike all genres, but mainly read historical and paranormal these days. This is also the year I discovered Urban Fantasy and have been really enjoying my foray into the worlds of Mercy Thompson, Sookie Stackhouse and the Women of the Otherworld.
In real life, I work at a university as a budget analyst and spend as much of my free time as possible reading and keeping up with my groups on Shelfari and Goodreads. I'm also working on being better about writing reviews.
I'm looking forward to some fun conversations!
