Aww... that's a cute book. I read that a while ago. Admittedly, I never finished the book, but still... cute book.
pretties by scott westerfeld ( uglies sequel)
I haven't read them in years, but since it's the holiday season, why not any one of Charles Dickens Christmas stories, there are five of them so just pick one: A Christmas Carol, The Chimes, The Cricket on the Hearth, The Battle of Life, and The Haunted Man
:( i dont celebrate chrismas please dont read chrismas stuff.
I don't celebrate Christmas either so I think it should be a nonreligious book so no one gets offended or anything :)
Not to be mean or anything, but this is supposed to be suggestions. Second, the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe also has Christmas and Santa Claus in it. I don't say things about other's suggestions even though I may not be interested or have already read the book. As a member of this group, I don't recall any limitations on the books that are suggested, if you don't like the book, there are options...no one is making anyone else read the book! I'm sorry that my suggestion of Classic Literature offended someone because they don't celebrate a holiday.
After some consideration, I've decided that we'll still add all of the books that are suggested and then the members can vote for what they want. That seems like a fairer way to do things. Because Jacy does actually give a good point when she says that there are no actual limitations on what books can be suggested.
Yeah sorry. Your completely right Jacy :) And I do read books that involve Christmas and holidays that I'm not a part of, but I think that we shouldn't read or suggest anything completely based on one persons religion or culture because then not everyone will get involved. So sorry that I didn't completely phrase that correctly.
And Innocent Lamb, you've got a good point there too, but I think that we shouldn't have any really religiously based books suggested because not everyone can read them :) But all suggestions should be suggested no matter what religion, culture or whatever its about :)

Sure, we'll add that as an option that people can vote for if they wish. :)
Here are my suggestions:Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood
Blackout
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making
Thanks!
I think both are interesting books, especially Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood Blackout even though I haven't read it yet. So we'll add them both to the poll. :)

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson"
Hey Mark, I'm so sorry, but I've already added the poll for the December book. I don't think it'd be fair to you or your suggestions to just throw them in now that most people have voted. Therefore, I am going to add that for the January book of the month. Is that okay?

Sounds good. I'm sorry. I'm new and hadn't realized the cutoff date had already happened. Embarrassing moment.
Ah well, no worries. By the way: Welcome to the group!
