COOKIES! discussion

If you are able to post, please check in an let us know you are o.k. in the path of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy. For those of you not affected, you don't have to check in unless you would like. I just want to make sure you are all safe and sound. I worry.

Obviously, I'm here. We have limbs and such down, and my back yard has white caps this morning,but we're otherwise fine.

I thought our house was going to shake apart, or fly off to Oz. We had no lights for about 8 hours, internet and cable was out until noon today (Wednesday). Cell phones have spotty reception (apparently a tower down somewhere). Got home from the doctor today to realize the shingles scattered through our driveway and across the road are from our roof (nice big wet spot over our toilet now). We are safe and sound though :)

Here in Lynchburg VA we got wind and rain, but did not lose power, thank goodness.
We had a lot more damage from the Derecho the end of June. And a power outage of 8 days in temperatures of 100-104F

Still here. My power just came back on last night (yay!). Now hopefully my refrigerator did not completely gank itself. *fingers crossed*
