Did it feel like it the whole book was a summary of the Time Keeper's story? I think I would have enjoyed it more if it felt more like a story than someone explaining his situation. Do you think the author did that on purpose?

I think part of the problem was that all the Dor chapters in the first section of the book felt like the story of how the Time Keeper became the Time Keeper, and then his sections felt very fragmented and almost beside the point among Sarah and Victor's stories.

true. almost like he was an afterthought

Poor Time Keeper. He's a supporting character in his own book.
