DEMONS

Guardian Demons
Guardian Demons are demons first encountered on the Shores of Acheron. They are the lowest rank of Demons, but still general over lesser minions. They appear as tall, blackened beings, with long, curved horns. As a weapon, they can be seen carrying a large curved sword, which they can swing with great force. They also tend to appear in small groups of around two or three.


Throne Demon
They wear gilded armor and are armed with a shield in one hand and a massive axe in the other. These demons attack the player by charging and delivering deadly swings with their axe. They can also use their axe to throw fire projectiles at a distance.


Arch Demon
An Arch Demon is an enemy first encountered in the circle of Violence. They are the third choir of fallen angels, and among the original fallen. They resemble winged versions of the Guardian Demons armed with a pair of swords.

MINIONS

Hell Minion
Hell Minions act and look the same, but are more aggresive than standard minions.

Anger Minion
Anger Minions will slowly march towards the player until igniting, at which point it will explode when the player gets close.

Gluttony Minion
Gluttony Minions have a two-handed lunge attack, and have a green pallor.

Greed Minion
Greed Minions are extremely swift and evasive, and appear to shimmer like gold. They will jump back and forth before attempting a leap attack.

Fire Minion
Fire Minions take the shape of a standard Hell Minion, but are made entirely of flames and are invulnerable to Scythe attacks until struck by the Cross.


Minion
The generic minions are the souls of the damned that have become corrupted by Lucifer's influence. They now serve him, and are commanded by the higher-ranked demons of Hell. Dante first encounters them in The Church graveyard, after finding Beatrice dead. Armed with nothing but short swords, they are the true cannon-fodder in the depths of Hell. What they lack in strength, however, they somewhat make up for by assaulting in large numbers.
