So, Ahab is manipulative. Also evil.
And what the **** is that grey felt suppository doing on that sled, and what does it mean?
And what the **** is that grey felt suppository doing on that sled, and what does it mean?
Hayes wrote: "And what the **** is that grey felt suppository doing on that sled, and what does it mean?"Tsk. It's the "Dream of Flying", silly! OBviously.
In other words, "And what the **** is that grey felt suppository doing on that sled, and what does it mean?"
:D
I am sorry... I have always been a little slow on the uptake... of course... Flying... what else...?
I absolutely love this chapter, describing the monomaniacal Ahab acquiescence to his crew's "corporeal" needs. Connecting it to the spiritual voyage in contrast to basic needs, correlating it with the Crusades' damage to not only to objective but the peoples encountered along the way. Amazing awareness, one (a perspective) which I had not realized existed in the days of composition. Fantastic correlation across centuries! (Who was this Herman Melville?)
