Read the Stole Life by Jaycee Dugard! It's about the girl who was abducted for 18 years. It is really inspiring.
Right now I am reading "Love Comes Softly" by Janette Oak. So far this book is so great, you should read it if you are into history romance.
Hey, if you like teen lit, I'd suggest reading a book by John Green (any of them) but the best is "Looking for Alaska". It's a really great novel if you're into awkward teenage experiences and a little angst.
"The Five People you Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Ablom, Even if you aren't religious at all (because I am not very religious) it will really make you think about the things you do in this world.
If you're looking for a classic, read A Clockwork Orange! The whole thing is presented like a beautiful painting and the themes and uses of language are extremely thoughtful. It explores good and evil and how extremes bring out the opposite in both. Highly recommend!
