((omg so sorry my computer decided to freeze))
Tony was in his kitchen, roughly grinding certain herbs into a powder. How can he just leave her like that? He thought angrily, hands tightening around the pestle.

The door swung open and Tony looked up, setting aside his work. "Come on in, Arrika." He called.
"Not at all." The door swung shut and Tony walked over to her.
"Thank you." He smiled slightly. "Anything you need at the moment? Somewhere to stay?"
"Somewhere to stay would be nice. I'd hate for those crazy people to attack me while I'm alone."
"Ah they seemed harmless enough. Want me to get some of your things, then?"
He raised a brow at her, "Wait what? He's coming back?"
He took the phone from her, reading the messages. He shook his head and handed it back to her. "Good, he better stay this time. So how's your hand?"
He nodded. "Baby giving you any trouble?"
"Corvus should fix that... do you want to know it's gender yet?"
He nodded, then smiled. "Been able to for a while now, actually."
"You're expecting a daughter."
He nodded. "A girl, is it a problem?"
"No... I don't know." She looked out the window, her thoughts in a whirl. Above all, she wished Corvus was there.
"Well I guess it could be worse for her, in life." He did a few spells in his head, transporting her clothes from her dorm to his.
"She's already got people wanting to kill her and she hasn't even been born yet, how much worse can things get?"
"She's going to live know people either worship, fear, hate, or want to use her. She'll be singled out as a freak among freaks."
Arrika pressed her lips together. She distinctly remembered how she'd been labeled as a freak as well.
"But she'll have allies, I'm sure. People will want to care for her." He pointed a thumb towards the kitchen. "Want dinner?"
((when do you wanna skip to when cor comes back?))
((when do you wanna skip to when cor comes back?))
((alrighty, and sorry if I don't post as quickly soon. skip maybe a little under two months...? or is that too long?))
((okay))
There was a knock at the door, and Corvus stood outside with his hands folded in front of him. Waiting and hoping she didn't hate him.
There was a knock at the door, and Corvus stood outside with his hands folded in front of him. Waiting and hoping she didn't hate him.
She lounged on the couch, reading a book. When she heard the knock, she sighed and looked up. It seemed so far to the door. "If ye be friend, enter. If ye be foe, leave before I smite thee into oblivion." Great, all this historical fiction was making her talk like she was from Old England.
The door opened and Corvus stepped inside, his eyes landing on her. He quickly hid one of his hands in a coat pocket. I'm back.
Joy flooded her eyes, she felt as if her heart would burst with emotion. "Cor! You're back." She quickly tried to get up, moving awkwardly with her rounded stomach.
Corvus went to her instead, bending down to fold her into a tight hug. One of his thumbs was missing.
She didn't notice as she wrapped her arms around him, tears of happiness sliding freely down her cheeks. "Cor..."
He kissed the tears from her cheeks, smiling as wide as his mouth would let him. I missed you.
"I missed you too, Cor. I wasn't certain if I would ever see you again." She caressed his cheek.
So you don't hate me? He swallowed, keeping his mutilated hand behind her back.
I left without saying goodbye. I was a total ass the last you saw me.
I thought you'd still be upset. Corvus laid a hand at the nape of her neck.
Well I'm back now, and I won't be leaving anytime soon. He titled her head up and kissed her.
