Belle walked up to the temple, surprsied at how fast they had both got there. She looked up and admired the handiwork on this thing. It was the marker between the worlds. She walked up to it and placed her hand on it.
Styx stepped in on ghost-like feet, eyes darting around. Paranoia was creeping and seeping into his mind like a disease, riddling his brain as his fingers searched the surface of the walls for something -anything- to steal away.
Sensing someone, he cranked on the charm A next meal, perhaps? "Hello, darling? Oh, calm yourself, I'm not here to harm."
"You can't smell a lie," Styx scoffed. "I'm not stupid. And deal with you? I think I can handle you, sweetheart. Feisty. I like it."
Belle saw someone had approached and watched his moves, while alos keeping an eye on Hannah, hoping she knew what to do.
"Then let's play a little game. Spot the lie. Here are your options:A.) I came alone." Styx was half certain that this was true, though it was a possibility that his brother was here as well. Lie? Maybe.
"B.) My favorite food is rare steak." Another maybe.
And finally, another maybe. "C.) I know the exact number of people I've killed."
Belle listened and became frightened, she started to search through her bag for a knife or weapon of some sort that she could defend herself with.
"The point is that you can't smell lies, whether you want to or not. Anyways. You should know. They were all lies." Another lie... sort of. Or was it lie? Maybe it wasn't. Hard to tell.
Not dangerous? Now that was most certainly a lie. In less than a second, Styx had this (view spoiler) in one hand, and this (view spoiler) in the other.
"Ohhh, scary," he purred. Styx had the weapons hidden away already. Looking into the wolf's eyes, he turned on his mesmerization.
Belle had a jolt of adrenaline looking towards Hannah, afraid that they both wouldn't make it out of this. She backed away a little, coming out with a knife that she had hid in her bag for a situation that this. She trembled slightly.
Without even looking over at Belle, Styx had his clawing paranoia telling him she was armed. "Don't even try it," he warned.
Mati wrote: "((his what??))Hannah bared her teeth and growled at him."
((Read his profile. It's like hypnosis.))
Belle shakingly followed the orders of her friend and put the knife in her bag, keeping the bag close just in case. She nodded.
Styx clicked his tongue. "Well I'd hate to have to REALLY put you in a trance." He had two ways to calm her. Hypnosis, or by opposing Wrath.
He knew it would work. She wasn't amazing, she couldn't just have a billion abilities. Werewolf and heightened senses, he guessed. That would be it. "And I haven't eaten in 3 years, I'm starved," Styx told her.
Belle listened and acted calm with a sigh of relief, not just because of the threats, she didn't think that they would actually fight. This was a relief. She folded her arms across her chest and watched.
"Nightmare? Nada. I'm a dreamer. As well as that you would taste delicious," Styx purred, his razor teeth dropping into place.
"You couldn't kill me if you tried." He was half-demon. He couldn't die. No matter what. :Besides, if I though you'd be sweeter than you would be bitter, I'd bother. But I can get the same taste from eating trash, so I won't."
Belle looked to Hannah nodded quietly saying "If you think that that is the best, then lead the way," She said a little glad to get away from danger, but knowing that there would probably be more danger ahead.
"I have a no-go pass there. Stuck on the planet until the Angels are dead. Sorry, leftovers, really, wish you were worth tasting."
Belle slowly nodded and said "I'm really sorry if I transform into a cat again," She knew it would be possible, but she just didn't know when or how and even if she would.
((Psh, he's already been to Hell, remember? x3 Jensen will survive.))"To an extent," he flashed a smile. "But mostly, I'm just better than you, and I'm sure it eats it up inside."
((OH THOSE! It's hard to eat what he does without them ^_^))"Like I said, sorry, can't go. But you know, I really can make you do whatever it is I want," He flashed another sharp-toothed smile.
((Poor Sammy has them too :'( and wait a second, her profile doesn't say anything about not being able to be put into a trance. Is she just cocky or...?))"Mm, I highly highly doubt that," Styx clicked his tongue, tsk'ing. "You know, you aren't very smart, are you? Actually, now that I think about it, you aren't very.. anything."
((Ah, loophole to your loophole, that's a power, and it must be put in powers ^_^))"Mm, sometimes it just needs to happen, now doesn't it? Sadly," he feigned sadness, "I'm the only one willing to show them that there is dark even in the brightest of lights. Boo. Hoo."
((Ah.... Oh dearie me, drama on the way.))"But what if I don't believe you? Care to test your theory?"
"But I'm not like most of the people here." Which was true. Each and every night, evil racked his thoughts, and he would work on fighting to push his problems away. He was powerful, to say the least.
Styx laughed, demons didn't have to breathe -not really, anyways- and he could stay there all day. He started to sing under his breath.
Styx was careful to catch her gaze. Once he had it, he wouldn't turn away, or let her either. "Calm yourself," he purred. "Honestly."
"Better? So much for not being able to be mesmerized," he gave a short laugh, moving out from under her.
He laughed softly. "I'm a lot of things," Paranoid, kleptomanical, bipolar.... "But stupid isn't one of them."
"Then I looked." There was always a telltale mark when someone was under a trance, though they'd never remember. No one remembered being under his trance.
