Arena 2
((Haha. Okay, master!))Kyra felt anxious, but did not show it. She knew this was it. This was life or death. This was the moment she had thought about and this was the moment she prepared for. When she saw the blinding light, she didn't flinch at all. She saw the other tributes around her. She looked at Zane, who seemed fearless. Once she saw the arena, she knew that she was ready to survive.
((Should we arrange a time to start so everyone is on? I can only be on from 11am - 5pm because of time zones :( And that is your time, not mine.))
((I won't be home until 4:30 on school days, but any time after that would be ok. Weekends depend, but i can go on my cell too. What day/time are you thinking (To everybody)))
Arrow was screaming and crying violently in her head, but she knew this was the time to man up and kill. She stepped onto the platform from underground and looked back over her shoulder, across the room she saw Myles do the same. She stared at the wall with a blank face until she felt a jerk under her feet. She clenched her fists and shut her eyes until she saw red from the sun. She opened. A maze. Her memory was good, so she could have an advantage. Her platform jerked to a stop. She looked to her left to see Myles giving her a signal.
Myles' mind was blank. He hadn't even realized he had entered the arena until the sunlight hit his eyes full blast. His eyes widened when he saw his surroundings. A maze? The other tributes will have loads of places to hide! He noticed Arrow to his left and gave her a signal, then nodded towards the Cornucopia. He did the same to Thalia and Augusta once he had picked them out on their podiums. He got into position, ready for the bloodbath. His time to shine.
Connor felt numb all over. He was terrified, even though he was capable. He closed his eyes as his podium rose up to the maze arena. A maze? All the trees back home were kinda maze like...
He spotted Ryder's podium and watched eagerly. Ryder was in charge here. He knew what to do, hopefully.

((lemme know if you want me to change the jobs))Arrow prepared herself. She narrowed out all of the objects. It was her job to get all of the supplies she could carry, while Thalia and Augusta covered her. Myles just thinned out the competition as much as he could. She had her eyes set on a pile of five backpacks. She pointed to them so Augusta and Thalia could see.
Hayz was mid breakdown when her podium reached the arena. Her plan was to run in and get what she could without getting too close. She sobbed because she would never see her family again, and becuase she had no allys or chance at winning. She cried because she knew she would die in a matter of time, and just wanted to see her family again.
((Do you think you could make a picture, Silvermoon? Just to keep things organized))
(dDamn, i don't think i'll actually be able to take part :( reece, could you rp connor for me?))
((Sure, buddy. If that's OK with you, Sammie, since Connor and Ryder are allies?))
Forrest was shaking. He should have been scared, but all he could feel was regret. He regretted not training. He regretted ignoring his mentor. He regretted the fact that he had come to the arena with no allies or strengths. But he put on a brave face, narrowed his eyes and got ready to run at the Cornucopia.

Carmine's heart was racing. She couldn't do it. There was no way out. And now that the Gamemakers know that she faked an injury, she was in for it, and so would Ryder. They'd be suspicious of him too. She decided to ignore the other tributes and warn Ryder; if anyone can start a rebeliion, it would be him.

Kyra slightly smiled back at Zane. He seemed like he was trying to look intimidating. Kyra looked around her and discovered that she was in a maze. Since she was smart, she thought she might have an advantage. When the bloodbath happened, people would be suprised. Kyra didn't seem very threatening because of her size. However, since she held back in the training center, no one knew what she was capable of. Kyra just wished she would have made a few allies before entering the arena.
Arrow studied the other tributes. The only ones she remembered from the arena were Myles, Thalia, Augusta, and the girl she was bickering at. The girl's name was Kyra. She seemed fairly confident considering she had no allys, well that Arrow knew of. She is smiling at Zane. "Oh, God" Arrow thought "It's practically the end of your life as you know it, and here you are falling for some kid you barley know! This chick is nuts." She thought. Arrow refocused herself on the cornacopia when she heard the anthem play. This. Is. It.
Myles quickly glanced over the tributes again, looking as intimidating as ever. He didn't even know that many of them, but to him, they were all enemies, beside his allies. The anthem started playing, and Myles snapped back into focus. His eyes were set on a large axe conveniently placed next to a short curved sword. He repeated his plan over in his head. Get the weapons, watch allies, and kill...
Beatrice felt herself rising up into the arena. Her heart pounded as she was lifted upwards. She looked around at her surroundings. The arena was a huge maze but off in the distance she saw sand dunes. Beatrice poised to run, thinking about what she needed to do. Run to the Cornucopia, get supplies, get out, find Travis, and don't die.
((shit. I can't believe I missed the opening. ahhhhhh! must. ctach. up.))
Reece wrote: "((Sure, buddy. If that's OK with you, Sammie, since Connor and Ryder are allies?))"
((Fine by me.))
Ryder froze when the platform rose. He blinked and looked about after about twenty seconds of shock. In and out, that was his plan. All he wanted was a set of knives and a backpack. He poised to run, but glanced around for his ally Connor and his adversary Myles.

((It hasn't actually started yet so don't worry Samie. I'm glad your back!))((Can I do the very dramatic countdown like last year pleeaasssee?!))
Travis looked about, first catching Beatrice in his sight. Still okay. He needed to get something for them, but was scared to death for himself and Beatrice.
Beatrice scanned the circle of tributes until she saw Travis. She felt a tiny bit relieved but she was still scared out of her mind. She repeated the plan to herself again. Get to the Cornucopia, grab supplies, get, out, find Travis, don't die.... She focused on the set of knives she wanted. They were for her. She knew it.
((Yeah that would be cool! and :) ))
Beatrice took a deep breath as the countdown began. "Twenty, nineteen, eighteen,." Her heart was pounding in her chest. She gave a weak, reassuring smile to Travis before turning to face the Cournucopia. "Seventeen, sixteen, fifteen."((Be back in a bit. Dinner. Don't start without me!))
Travis nodded, but refocused on the supplies.
Ryder took deep breaths and made fists with his hands.
Ryder took deep breaths and made fists with his hands.
Faye looked about. She was so unprepared for this. But she wanted to have a shot, now that it came down to it. SO she positioned herself to bolt into the thick of things.
"Fourteen, thirteen, twelve, eleven." The clock ticked down towards zero as Beatrice felt herself shaking. She was scared out of her mind. She remembered her brother's words. "You can win this, Beatrice. I know you can. I believe in you." It helped calm her nervousness a little but she was still afraid. "Ten, nine, eight."
Ryder looked around, trying to keep the single minded focus he needed. Get in, get out, try not to get blood on his hands.
Kyra waited for the games to begin. She kept a straight face and knew what she was going to do when it sounded.
Beatrice closed her eyes, trying to clear her mind. Run in, grab supplies, run out, find Travis, and don't die, she told herself. "Seven, six."
Arrow took her last few breaths. The countdown is on six. She squeezes out a tear. Another breath, shakey this time. She cracks every one of her ten fingers, then looks down at her bad knee. It's better now, but after days of straight running, Arrow is not so sure if it will hold up.
Faye deliberated about how best to go about this, as the countdown continues.
Beatrice repeated the plan over and over and over in her head as the clock ticked down. She took a deep breath. "Five, four." She focused on what she needed to do, feeling a tear run down her cheek.
Beatrice felt her heartbeat getting faster, hammering her chest. She put an emotionless expression on her face. She was determined to never stop fighting until she drew her last breath. "Three."
A boy stumbles and falls off his platform. District 7 boy is out.Thalia got up to her plate, and just when she got to the top, a lot started at once!
Thalia saw Arrow guesturing to the Cornucopia, where lots and lots of canvas bags and backpacks were piled up. She then took in the arena.
"It's a maze!" She exclaimed.
But then the silence was broken.
Thalia looked to the boy off to her right. Maybye a little boy of 12. He was shaking and shivering so hard, he looked like every bone was being rattled.
"I can't do this! I can't do this!" He muttered to Thalia.
Thalia looked at the ground, then back at the boy. She shook her head. "No." Thalia said firmly. "Don't even think about it.
"Mom! I love you!!" He screamed, and fell from the plate.
The first cannon boomed. And Thalia screamed.
First blood in the Hunger Games.
Myles jumped slightly. He almost felt bad for the kid that fell, but at the same time, he was relieved. One less person to worry about. He raised an eyebrow at Thalia, wondering whether she was OK.
((I'm sorry if this has made things difficult, but Kane had changed Connor to district 7 before he left. I guess you kept him as 6 though. Also, can Myles kill some of the boys from the unused districts?))
Ryder frowned, ouch. This wasn't a good start. He was shaking in anticipation, but was ready to go. Any second now....
Arrow didn't even flinch at the two boys who already died.her mother was a doctor back in two, and Arrow often observed. She did feel bad though, they had given up before they had a chance to fail. She zoned out if her surroundings and focused only on the cornucopia.
((there's only been one death so far...))
((I know I've said this before, but is it possible if people can be on any time before 5pm? I understand if you can't, stupid timezones, I get it. But I've always missed out on the initial bloodbath and I really wanted to be part of this one.))
Beatrice watched in horror as the boy fell from his platform and the mine exploded. The blast of the mine boomed in her ears, followed by the cannon. At least he wouldn't have to endure the Games. And it was one less tribute to have to worry about having to kill. She refocused on the Cornucopia and what she needed to do. "Two." Beatrice poised to run.
Myles was ready. Two seconds, and everyone here was an enemy. His allies knew what to do, so they should be safe. But once he had his hands on a weapon, there would be no mercy. He wasn't jus here to play the game. He was here to win.
I love you Bree, Ty, and Marc. I promise I will try my hardest to get home to you. she thought to her family. She had to try. Beatrice felt a tear stream down her cheek as she got ready to run."One."
((I'm really sorry and I understand if you carry on, but I've gtg for tonight. I have two exams tomorrow and it's 11.15, so I can't be in the bloodbath if it's tonight))

The plate rises up and you raise a hand to your face to block the sunlight. You hear leaves rustling, and some birds chirping. Your eyesight clears, and you realize that you are in a huge maze! The area you're in is a big wide space, about the size of a football field.
About 100 yards away from you, the cornucopia sits gleaming in the sun. Inside, you will find hundreds and hundreds of backpacks, duffel bags, pouches, and a covered cast-iron pot. Be careful! Some bags hold provisions, some weapons, and a sleeping bag.
But others hold bombs that explode when opened, swarms of poisonous wasps that kill on contact, and sleeping powder that will render you unconsious for 4 days.
The gong will sound in awhile, but for now, you see maze as far as the eye can see. Off in the distance, you see some sandy....dunes?
But more of that later!
LET THE 2ND HUNGER GAMES BEGIN, AND MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!!!!
