Adrienna (adriennaturner) I wonder if there are others reading and reviewing here; welcome to share the completed reviews. It helps the readers and authors know.

Now working on "31 keys to possess your promise' and loving this book!

message 11: by Adrienna (new)

Adrienna (adriennaturner) Did I send you "Desire at Will" or any of my other works Lady Day?

I just finished reading 'Finding My Father' by Kevin Albright. I'm working on the review right now. It was one of the best books I've ever read! This one belongs on the New York Best Seller list. Fabulous true story!

Tracy | 18 comments I just finished a review of a Christian non-fiction book. I know that I "met" the author on Goodreads but I can't remember if it was this group or not. I can't seem to get Amazon to work for me though. It seems like the site my be too busy for me to get a review posted (Christmas related?) Jesus The Ultimate therapist: Bringing hope and healing was the title.

perhaps I met Kevin Albright through another Christian site I am on here on goodreads as well. Hard to keep track for me too:)

message 18: by Adrienna (new)

Adrienna (adriennaturner) Since I am an author too, it helps when authors exchange reviews for one another, and then I can see the benefit of doing it at no cost to the author I am reviewing. I also am a professional reviewer for paid clients on Dream 4 More Reviews, which gives authors more exposure and details are on my site. I may have that info on my blog or page if interested. Those I usually do first. I will be doing a review program on December 23rd, Sunday, at 5 PM Central Time for latest books read and reviewed. blogtalkradio.com/dream4moreradio

Hi Adrienna! I never received "Desire at Will" nor any of your other works. I'd be happy to provide a review of either of them. PDF format works well for me.

message 20: by Adrienna (new)

Adrienna (adriennaturner) Oh wow, I know I sent a copy or two out. I will do that. I will have to find your email again. Thanks Lady Day.

I find that it's hard not to get overwhelmed with reviews we have promised to do. Therese answered one of my posts from this group and asked if I would review Frozen Footprints. Thankfully she was gracious enough to allow me time. I find I don't have much of that right now. So...when I'm done reviewing the current book I'm reading, I will notify her. That way, I hope I won't get overwhelmed. I don't like reading under pressure:)

message 26: by Adrienna (new)

Adrienna (adriennaturner) Great point. I've been reviewing over 4 years and won reviewer of the year in 2010 but nominated since I started in 2009. Once people know you, reviews are asked but here I did it freely but now becoming overwhelming because of my life outside of reviews. Great to see others reading new authors.

message 27: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 18 comments I finally managed to finish the other review on Jesus, the Ultimate Therapist on Goodreads, My book review site and Amazon. I am still having troubles with Amazon. I may try some other major book seller site instead. But, it is fun to be told that someone voted my review as helpful.

message 28: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 18 comments I have finished the reviews on Supreme Court of Heaven. I posted them on Goodreads, my blog (tracycraftchristianwriter.wordpress.com) and Amazon. It took me a few tries on Amazon but it is up there now!
I am not sure what book I will read and review next. If it looks good and comes up free on kindle, keep at eye out for my review to pop up. I really enjoyed Q manifesto too. I might review it too.

message 29: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 18 comments I reviewed The Q manifesto on Goodreads and on my blog.

message 39: by LAWonder10 (new)

LAWonder10 | 20 comments Against the Odds by J. Adams
This was quite predictable but still a wonderful love
story of a successful black model and a rough, tough
rancher.
A tribute to many courageous couples who have crossed
the strong racial line. Our hats off to you.
This was very clean and well written. The intimate scene
after marriage was lovingly, and purely identified.
Recommended to YA and adults alike.

LAWonder10 | 20 comments Never Stop Holding Hands by Shara Grylls
This was a fun and meaningful book. All newly wedded and
engaged couples should read this. What a great engagement
present.
It is full of words of wisdom in a fun way.
Very well done.

Just felt like saying the descriptions in this book were amazing and the intro really draws you in and sets you up to get into the book!

message 42: by LAWonder10 (new)

LAWonder10 | 20 comments I just finished reading WARRING SPIRITS by April W. Gardner. WOW! What a profoundly moving piece of Literature! It is a tremendous Historical Romance a man would probably enjoy as much as a woman.

message 43: by LAWonder10 (new)

LAWonder10 | 20 comments I just finished Linda Weaver Clarke's new book, 'The Rebels of Cordovia'. It was a fun novel and a new twist to a very familiar tale. It will entertain YA and adults.

message 50: by Teena (new)

Teena Stewart Here's my review Book Review: Authentic Christianity by Sammy P. Crimson

Sammy P. Crimson’s book Authentic Christianity presents her personal perspective on what is wrong with institutional church from a spiritual standpoint and what needs to change in order for people to get back to the true core, Christ’s teachings, and what it means to follow him.
Crimson works as an IT professional and uses examples from her field from time to time. I particularly enjoyed what she had to say about embracing the need to change. She has some memorable quotes as well, such as, “God is not stagnant but he is stable,” one well worth remembering, and “What is glorious today is not guaranteed the same glory tomorrow.”
Though there are other books on the subject of what needs to change with “religion” and the Christian Church in order for it to get back to what God intended, I found a freshness at times in how Crimson explained it. Unfortunately, the originality is overshadowed by poor editing which includes run on sentences, comma splices, and, at times rambling thoughts.
I you want to sift through it despite this, you will find some rough gems. I give this book two out of five stars.
