WOW!!!!!!!! wasnt finale the best it was amazing! i stayed up till lke 2 in the morning on a school night finishing it :) i think she wrapped up the series perfectly i cried at the end. So what did you guys think of it???

I cried when Scott died. But not when Patch died, it was rushed too fast over his 'death'.
and what became of Dabria and I think she should've spent more time on Marcie's death.

Poor Scott, he was epic, he was gonna be in a band and marry Vee and get a football scholarship...okay never mind my random Vampire Diaries references... ^_^
I somehow felt unsatisfied at the end, like it didn't tie everything up. I think she needed to make a bigger deal about Marcie's death and Patch's death was rushed.

Yeah but I guess that she felt that Marcie was an unimportant character-which she kinda was. She was a traitor. And Patch's death was rushed because it left us feeling hollow inside (in my case). I think it was a great book. I cried when it ended and when Patch got chained in hell and when Scott died!!!!

I agree with you Maria!!! No one cared about her death. When I read it, I just kept reading, it didn't really impact me.

Really? BUt she was starting to change! I think Nora and her could've actually shared something if they tried.

Yeah, I felt like Marcie was really stupid. I mean she said that she wanted what Nora had, she wanted to be the leader of the Nephilim army. She was really annoying, especially when she moved in with Nora.

Here's my version-ish of Patch's 'death'...well after his death a bit but still:


No! No no no no no. My throat was tight with unshed tears, and they wouldn't stop flowing. Scott's arms supported me as we trudged back through the trees sobbing...away from the motorbike. My arms held what was left of me together. My world had fallen apart. All I'd ever known had flickered out like a candle. Cold and empty.
Emptiness where Patch used to be, silent screams echoed through my mind adn my body shivered against the cold I felt. Tears streamed down my face as a gasped for air. Patch.
Lost. Gone. Forever burning in hell. I remembered his last words to me. How he had kissed me, fiercly. Promising that we'd make it. Yet somehow like he was saying goodbye...as if he'd known... I knew I had to be strong and keep going, the fate of the Nephilum rested on my shoulders, but everything else felt unimportant, it was like it had blurred away with my tears, something superficial.
But our love hadn't been something superficial. It had been real and strong and passionate. I had known Patch inside out, had been through almost everything for him, had thrown myself of a biulding for him. And now everything was lost.
Scott stayed silent as we stepped over fallen trees and rocks, obstacles that shouldn't have hindered a Nephilum like me. But I was empty.

oh, I must have missed that part.

Well, I might continue it first, make sure it all fits with the story, so it could be a deleteed paragraph or so and then maybe. :)

I kinda knew that Donte was a bad guy. I mean i knew he wasnt good. It was sort of obvious. I never liked him but i did not see that One coming. Vee is a Nephlim and she marries a Mortal... WOW

Yeah I never did trust Dante or completely like him. And then when Vee started saying stuff like I have a secret too, and that stuff I was like, ooohhh there's somethign going on there!

yeah I kinda saw the dante thing, it was like new charrie who wants us to trust him....NEVER!!!! ha ha

Yeah I didn't trust Dante at all first off he wanted to date Nora that is a no no. Then again if he had of tried to date Vee I would have said shoot him he is evil like her other boyfriends. Although I thought Dante brought an interesting aspect to the book, he was playing all sides of the feild I saw him being evil but didn't see him being in line with the fallen and the nephil and Vee sort of guessed what her secret was because it was the only thing I ccould think of that she was Nephil

You know alot of people are upset by the deaths of some characters and I think however in Marcie's case what did she had to live for anymore patch and Nora gave their all to live and be with each other there's a huge power in that. The will to live is so much stronger when you love someone but Marcie never had that and well Dante had a score to settle and he did:(

I was so sad when Scott died!Also, when I read that Dabria has kissed Patch, I was knocking my head in the wall!

Okay I'm so glad I found this discussion! To begin with I loved the book!! And everything shattered to pieces when I thought Patch was dead! NOWAY! I literally dropped the book and left my room! But then Scott died then that was it! I had a feeling something was going to happen to Scott once he came back and said he swore to protect Nora...but oh god why T__T

To be honest, Dante's betrayal was really really shocking..never excepted it really!!

Anyways amazing ! I loved it!

It wasn't that shocking for me. As much as I do like those books, the ending as a tad predictable. the only thing that shocked me was Scott. And, am I the only one that was kind of confused about what's up with Patch and Nora. Because they establish that a nephilim stops aging when they swear fealty, Nora never did... so what does that mean for them? I got a little confused, also... the titles to be books kind of suck because they have nothing to do with the story in anyway.

@Marie about the titles... I'll have to agree with that on the 2nd book.. But I think for the first and third and fourth they sort if make sense. Like at first it was "Hush,Hush" probably indicating keeping Patch's identity quite and staying around Nora. For the third it was "Silence" which i think indicates Nora and Patch's silence because in that book they mostly don't talk and nora thinks Patch's cheating and Hank appears a lot so maybe it refers to that.. And "Finale" the end.. Of course that's how I interpreted the titles though

The the titles actually relate to the stages of a symphony Hush, hush being the beginning, Crescendo being "a gradual increase in loudness in a piece of music." Silence when the music gets quieter, and finale the end of the song. That is why I hate the titles, they have nothing to do with the book other than the brief mentioning of Nora playing the cello in the first book.

@Marie oh!!! I totally forgot about Nora playing the Cello considering the fact I read the book a few years back but thanks for the reminder! Now that you actually mentioned the meaning of the titles... you have a point out there

Even though I hate the titles, I don't have a clue as to what they should be titled.
