I started this group because I want to give you the opportunity to ask me questions or add comments about the Wilson Mooney Series.

How many Wilson Mooney books are you planning to write?

Good question Kristine! When I sat down to write the 2nd book, I didn't really think about a third. I thought Wilson and Max's story could be summed up in a couple of books. But when I came to the end of writing the 2nd, I just knew there was still so much more that needed to be told. I don't plan on making this series more than 3 books. Simply because I have so many other amazing characters from other stories knocking around in my head, waiting for their birth into the written world. However; after saying all that...I truly won't know until I am close to the end of the 3rd book to know if Wilson and Max are done telling their story.

Grrr! That cliffhanger had me chuck my Kindle across my room in frustration. (I still gave it 5stars because I loved the book)
I was upset seeing what was going on with Wilson and Max. I read the sneak peek so there is still hope for those love birds. I was wondering, though, compleletly off Wilson and Max, if you might be thinking of putting Nick and Joanie together as a couple. We saw a glimpse of them flirting with each other in this book. I wasn't sure if that's foreshadowing on their maybe relationship. Nick and Joanie are such great people with big hearts that it would be a shame to see all that goodness go to waste, so to speak. I feel REALLY bad for Nick the most. What are your thoughts on the third book and when will be coming out approx?

Oh, wow, so you caught that huh? You know part of me really wants Joanie and Nick to get together. Wouldn't that be so amazing? And they would be pretty sexy together! But, then, there's that part of me that thinks about Max's feelings? Would Joanie really do that to him or Wilson? She loves both Wilson and Max so much, I'm not sure she would be willing to forgo their feelings in order to date Nick.

I will say, when I write, it isn't something I plot out. I don't sit down and outline or storyboard the novels before they are written. When I write, the story comes through me at that moment. Sometimes I can write complete chapters in one sitting and at other times I stop in mid-sentence or paragraph.

I am working on the third novel now. My hopes are I will be able to get it out faster than the second one. As far as my thoughts on the third...I want to make sure I tie up any loose ends from 18@Last, and I hope my readers will love it as much as the first two novels. But as you know...there are so many ways Wilson and Max's story can go in 80K+ words.

Ha! Jessie, without taking a breath, my heart thunders in my chest and my hands tingle when I think about this...my Max is Ian Somerhalder! From book one, Ian has always been my Max.

As far as Wilson, several of my friends tell me Jennifer Lawrence would make a great Wilson.

But let's face it...whoever plays Wilson, they must have that raw, intense, and undeniable chemistry with Ian, or just forget the whole thing. (notice I already cast Max! LOL)

At the end of WM18@L (book 2. The last page past the Epilogue) I gave you the url to my website and what tab you click and what password to use to access the chapter.

***Now with that being said...if you are trying to access it using a mobile device, you won't be able to see it. I have someone looking into how to fix that. But in order to see the chapter, you must access it by a computer that supports Flash.

I just saw the actors on your blog. They are perfect, especially Ian. Dear Jesus, he is hot!

I don't really have any questions (besides when the third one is coming out of course, but you already addressed that :P ) but I did just want to say that this is probably one of my favorite series that I have come across so far. I loved both books and can't wait for the third one. I can see myself reading this series multiple times.

Loved the first two and can't wait for book 3. My question is after the third book do you think you will do a spinoff, giving the secondary characters a story of their own...oh and do you have anything else in the works as of now..thanks :)

Alison, Thanks for the questions. First I must preface this answer with how I write. I don't storyboard or plot out the novel. Usually the stories tend to find their way through me. So a lot of the time I truly don't know what's going to happen next.

Oh, I have heard some talk about readers wanting a Joanie/Nick series. I can see why. They are very likable characters. But at this particular moment I don't see that happening. And that's simply because I have so many other characters that are waiting for an opportunity to have their stories told. Stories that I think readers will fall in love with and ache to know.

At this moment I do have a completed novel from a different series with my editor and we are looking at what needs to be tweaked before I consider releasing it.

Right now, my focus is on getting WM3 written. I think once that is done, I'll get a chance to breathe deeply again! :)

I'm soooo excited for the 3rd book to come out! I creep on your Facebook page every day hoping the book has been released ;). I freaking LOVE this series & Max of course :D. YOU ARE THE BEST, Gretchen & thanks for giving us such an AMAZING series to read!! Everyone should be reading these books!!!!

Thank you for all your support! I love that you creep me on Facebook, that means I must have done something right to keep you interested. I know more people will find the series, it just takes time for readers to discover them. I know every day more people are falling in love with Wilson and Max. Mainly Max!! ;) I will be working diligently in the month of April (my birthday month) to get further along with #3 because it is my goal to have it done by summer...now that's not a promise, but my goal! Thanks for sharing Wilson and Max with all your friends!
