This is the castle that resides over the city of Neverwinter and is the residential home to most of the nobels that live in the City Core.

*Aribeth walked into the castle and proceeded toward the throne room, then stopped when she did not see Lord Nasher sitting on his throne*

*A guard approached Aribeth* "Lady Aribeth, I am afraid Lord Nasher is not here at the moment."

*Arobeth turned and faced the guard* "Where is he?"

"He is currently resting in his chambers. Perhaps I could assist you with something?"

"No, thank you. I will go see to him, myself." *Aribeth turned and started walking toward Lord Nasher's chambers*

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that." *The guard drew his sword*

"Aribeth turned when she heard the ring of metal and faced the guard, frowning* "Why not?"

"Because there is only one way for you to see him."

"And what way is that?" *Aribeth reached for her sword*

"Death." *The guard started moving toward Aribeth*

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments Zar'roc walked around the castle, admiring its grandeur. His trained ears heard a scuffle, and he glanced at one of the castles large windows. From there he could see the guard draw his sword, and he aimed his Longbow. He stopped and reasoned; she could take care of herself.

*Aribeth drew her sword and placed it in front of her, readying herself for any attack from the imposter* "Who are you?!"

*The guard chuckled* "A minion who serves his master well." *A flash of light appeared around him for a moment and revealed his true form as a Balor as the illusion magic surrounding him faded*

*Aribeth scowled* "Die, you wretched demon! Arul sevelo kiranda!" *A beam of light shot down from above and struck the demon*

"Ugh!" *The Balor flinched as the divine light hit him, then moved quickly and swung his sword at Aribeth, then brought his claw around at her*

*Aribeth held up her sword and parried the demon's sword, but was caught by his claw and was knocked back a few feet* "Ah!" *She staggered to her feet and reassumed a defensive position*

*The Balor laughed* "You're weak! Aren't you supposed to be one of the most powerful Paladins of Tyr? How pathetic!" *He started moving toward her*

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments Zar'rock looked up, wanting to view the battle, and gasped as Aribeth got hit with the claw. "A Balor!" He shot an aroow, and it flew in a perfect arc to the window, but bounced harmlessly off. The pair fighting didn't even seem to notice it. Zar'roc ran to the entrance.

The guards crossed their weapons. "You must leave! You are not permitted here, Ranger!"

Zar'roc ran, jumping over the two guards, albeit cutting his leg on one guards Halberd. A platoon of guards were on his tail. This is a war city. I must try to stop the Balor. He tripped in pain over his leg, and shot one of his arrows at what he hoped was the area directly underneath the Balor. The guards were on him.

"We've got him, the little intruder!" One guard yelled, picking him up.

Through the blinding pain, Zar'roc said, "Thaider!, issuing his signature skill. The arrow glowed, and shot a large electric charge up to the next couple of floors before dissapating. "Damn it," Zar'roc said. "I will not be able to use that for another year." he seriously hoped it hit its mark.

(( Just because one guard was in disguise doesn't mean the others are. What is his location, now? Aribeth's in the main room/throne room. ))
*Aribeth looked down at the wound that ran across her right arm and growled* "Abul turlur keyrua." *A bright blue light shone around her arm for a moment and healed her wound before fading, then she prepared herself for another attack*

"Heh heh. Your healing spells won't be enough to save you from death!" *The Balor swung his sword down at Aribeth again and brought his claw upwards at her*

*Aribeth jumped back away from the blade and avoided the demon's claw, then moved forward and slashed at him*

*The Balor brought his blade up and parried Aribeth's attack* "Your attacks are futile, Paladin!"

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments ((?? None of my guards where in disguise. And he is being dragged against his will to the dungeons. I thought you would rp the lightning shooting up or something.))
Zar'roc went limp, seeing as he could not fight any of the guards of. He was thrown into the dungeon, and had everything except for the metal in his pockets confiscated. "Go to lady Aribeth! She is..." he realized he did not know the room.

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments ((The downside of RP - you can't predict another's actions. Lets make a trap to get out of the dungeons, shall we?))
Zar'roc took out the metal scraps, forming them into a small trap. Placing it onto the bars, it forced the bars open. He pried them open further and ran. A guard ran after him.

The guard chased after him, but another stopped him. "Let him go. Security has just been high after word got out from the other thugs that someone will try something big. He's probably running away."

Zar'roc was far from it. He ran to where he shot the arrow, and saw from the hole that he was far from hitting the Balor. He ran upstairs, finding the pair dueling in the throne room. Two flare arrows were shot.

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments Zar'roc shot two flare arrows, which burst into flame in midair. He backed it up by charging with his longsword, slashing three times and jabbing once. He shot two more arrows at the creature, each bursting into flames as they hit. Thoran, his pseudodragon, flew from the shadows and attacked mercilessly at the Balor. He used his longsword and fought alongside Aribeth, three against one. "Go find the Lord! We can fight him," He told Aribeth. He then took out two small traps. "The red one explodes with the Arcane word fore fire, and the blue one is a sheild to those who you wish to protect," he said, urging her.

*Aribeth looked down at the traps the Elf ((Zar'roc)) tried to hand him, then looked back up and him and shook her head* "No, he is probably somewhere safe. It's unlikely that a single Balor would be able to capture Lord Nasher on his own; and, even if he did have help, Lord Nasher is too well guarded for something as small an assault as this for him to be captured easily. I will stay and fight this demon, then we will go find Lord Nasher." *She looked back up at the demon and held her sword up to defend herself from his next blow*

*The Balor laughed* "Foolish mortal. Do you really think I came here for Lord Nasher? No, it is YOU I have come for! You are a powerful Paladin and pose a threat to my kind. For that reason, and that reason alone, I have come. And I have come to eliminate you!" *He moved toward Aribeth and the Elf ((Zar'roc)) and prepared to strike at them*

The Phantom (zerosummations) | 98 comments ((is this legal))

Qara walked quickly past the royal guards, she walked with purpose and they therefore didn't stop her. She heard a struggle, and sent Tamin to investigate. Tamin then led her to the throne room, where an elf and the famed Lady Aribeth were locked in combat with a mighty Balor. Seeing this, she raised her staff and summoned three flames arrows, sending them into the chest of the greater demon.

(( Yes, that's legal. ))
*The Balor stopped shifted his attention to the newcomer and smiled as the fire arrows hit his chest and dealt barely any damage* "Foolish girl, you cannot hope to hurt me with such petty magic." *He reared his hand back and began to make motions that were unique, as energy began to coil around his hand, slightly visible, then pushed it forward and created a barrier around himself* "There, that should take care of your little spells." *He turned back to Aribeth and the Elf ((Zar'roc))* "Now, then." *He continued moving forward toward them*

*Aribeth stepped in front of the Elf ((Zar'roc)) and prepared herself for another attack by the Balor* "Both of you should leave! Go find Lord Nasher! I'll defeat this Balor!"

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments "You must be kidding, I can't leave now. I'd try a lightning rod shot, but my natural magic is depleted." He shot another arrow, hosting a pheremones trap to call upon every insect in the castle to the Balor. "If the demon is here for you, than why worry about the king.?"

message 14: by Sage of Souls (new)

Sage of Souls (sageofsouls) | 264 comments Mod
(( Ya, no updates... ))
*Aribeth moved her free hand above her* "Cra-sis kiour!" *A flash of light surrounded her and formed into a point above her before shooting off and disappearing, then more flashes of light did the same around the other two ((Zar'roc & Qara))* "Because he might be in danger or hurt or worse if this Demon is after me and not him. He could've already been attacked or is under attack now or could have others going after him. That is why I need you to find him and aid him if he is under attack. Hopefully there are guards with him."

*The Balor continued to approach Aribeth and the Elf ((Zar'roc)), feeling nothing but a prick from the arrow shot at him, and reared his sword back and brought it down at Aribeth*

*Aribeth moved her sword in front of her and blocked the Balor's sword catching it in a clash and holding it back in place* "Go, now!"

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments The insects surged into the room. Zar'roc smiled. "Okay, but I suggest you use the double dagger trick." he rushed out, loosing three more arrows.

message 16: by The Phantom (new)

The Phantom (zerosummations) | 98 comments "I'm not leaving! This balor likes magic, it'll get magic!" Qara then raised her staff and sent a burst of glacial wrath into the demons barrier.

Amir is a ßø≤≤ | 138 comments Zar'roc ran down some stairs, not sure where to start.

*The Balor jumped back as the burst of Ice hit him, breaking through his barrier, releasing his clash with Aribeth and stablized himself, turning his attention to the female and groweld* "You're becoming a pest." *He reared his hand back and moved it about in ritualistic patterns, preparing to unleash a powerful spell at her*

*Aribeth moved quickly after releasing her clash with the Balor, hoping to catch him off guard* "Kava adua-desca." *She moved her free hand over her weapon and enhanced it with Divine power, then lunged at the Demon, stabbing her blade into its side and breaking its concentration*

"Ugh!" *The Balor moved away from Aribeth, holding his wound* "Damn you, you bitch!" *He held his hand above him and sent out a pool of lava spreading out from him toward her and the other female*

*The Balor stepped back away from the female's attack, then removed his hand from his wound, revealing it regenerated slightly, no longer bleeding, and pushed his hand outward and shot a Fireball out at her*

*Aribeth stepped back away from the Balor's and the female's attacks, then focused on the Balor, beginning to become more offensive* "Kel-na alura desca!" *A large beam of light struck down on it*

*The Balor grunted as the Divine light hit him, his skin being singed by the attack, then backed away farther from Aribeth and the other female and growled* "Damn you both. This is not the last you've seen of me." *Three stone spikes appeared around him, curved inward above him, and fire began to form around him, rising up to fill the area inside the stone triangle, then died down to reveal a now empty area as the stones withdrew back into the ground*

*Aribeth stood straight and relaxed a bit, then looked over at the female who aided her and started to walk toward her* "Are you hurt?"
