Cute task! I rolled a 5, so I guess I hit a jackpot! Maybe since I've fit four series in already I'll see if I can get one more...*GRIN*
Fiona (Titch) wrote: "I rolled a 2 & 4 lol"You only need to roll 1 die, and based on that, you read 2 books. :)
So, if you got a 2, both your books would have two-word titles (Archangel's Kiss, Fate's Edge, Bone Crossed).
If you went with the 4, one book would have to have four words in the title and the second could have any number, up to six.
Fiona, when you click on the link in the task, it comes up with a '2" in the number of die to roll. You have to change the number to 1 and then click to roll one die.If you check the task, you will see that the instruction is to roll "1" die.
I suggest that you toss your first roll, and try it again.
Yes, that's what I'll do, thanks Bea xSo Cindy, I re-rolled lol and rolled a 2. So would I be right in thinking I need to read Adulterers Anonymous - R Boyne & Asylum Lake - R.A. Evans?
what is your stance on hyphenated titles like Moby-Duck: The True Story of 28,800 Bath Toys Lost at Sea and of the Beachcombers, Oceanographers, Environmentalists, and Fools, Including the Author, Who Went in Search of Them (minus the subtitle, of course) and Tell-All? would you count those as two words, or just one because of the hyphen? thanks for your help! :)
Kate, I think 1Q84 should be one word since that is the way it is listed on Goodreads.Fiona both of those are good.
Kiki, to make it simple I'm thinking two words for
Moby-Duck: The True Story of 28,800 Bath Toys Lost at Sea and of the Beachcombers, Oceanographers, Environmentalists, and Fools, Including the Author, Who Went in Search of Them
I rolled a 2 then another twoBiting Cold and Cold Days
I know they would work for Fall, but Cold Days comes out tomorrow and I have two books to finish first, so they work here, which makes me happy!
I rolled a 1 and was planning to read Saga, Vol. 1. My question is, would you consider that a one word title?
GoodReads seems to put graphic novel series in a different order. I rolled a 4 which means that I need a four word title. Can I use Jack of Fables, Vol. 1: The (Nearly) Great Escape? Jack of Fables is the series name and the volume name is The Nearly Great Escape.

This is a really busy time of the year for most of us, so let us take a little break and go for a jackpot spin.
For this task, you will read two books.
Roll one die (spin). Dice Roller
If you roll a 1,2 or 3, you read two books, each with one, two or three words in the title, corresponding to your roll; that is, if you roll 1, both of your books should have a one word title, etc. See additional instructions about subtitles below.
If you roll a 4,5 or 6, congratulations, you have hit the jackpot! Read one book with 4, 5 or 6 words in the title, corresponding to your spin AND for your second book, choose a book with any number of words in the title between one and six.
For all choices, the articles "a", "and" and "the" count as a word. For example, The Rookor The Historianare books with two word titles. Ignore series titles as listed on Goodreads, only the title should be counted. Also, ignore subtitles, only the words before a colon should be counted. For example, Secret Historian: The Life and Times of Samuel Steward, Professor, Tattoo Artist, and Sexual Renegade is a two word title for the purposes of this task and The Historian's Craft: Reflections on the Nature and Uses of History and the Techniques and Methods of Those Who Write It. is a three word title. Enjoy, and Holiday Greetings to everyone!
