Pick-A-Book
I was debating it, but mind as well, it's much better then wondering in my head what I should read next, now if we have a huge list can someone pick more than one ? Can't wait to see how this works out :D
I guess you could read as many as you want, just let the other person know so they can pick them. I know I got a couple messages back from people, but just make sure you leave a post here so I can have a list of people to pair up!!
We can start on the 1st, give people a couple more days to decide or sign up. I'll post the pairings on then!
Okay, it is the 1st so here's the pairings!!!!
Selene-Vendea
Laura-Anna
Lisa-Kathy(me)
Morgan-Brittan
Amreen-Kassie
Make sure you let your partner know which list to pick from, happy reading!!

I can't believe I'm typing this right now, but Lisa picked Beautiful Disaster for me and I picked up it up 26 hours ago to read it and I'm already finished!!! It was so good I literally could not put it down!!!!! I think it has been one of my favorite books I have read in a LONG time. To give a little review of it:
Abby and Travis are both college kids that start out being complete opposites, one trying to be the sophisticated, mature freshman (Abby), the other being the bad ass, ladies man on campus(Travis). Travis knows what he wants from the second he sees Abby, but she tries to keep things at a friend level.....but fails. The whole book you go through their ebbs and flows, both normal-jealous boyfriend- and extreme-their family histories, struggling to find their Happily Ever After. I'd recommend this book to anybody because it's just a really nice story that has some heart wrenching moments and very surprising twists.
I hope you guys are liking the reads that your partner picked for you and hope to see more posts when people start finishing!!! Thanks Lisa for the pick!!!

Hey Laura!!! Great review! I've never been a huge Noel fan myself (I couldn't get into The Immortals series she wrote) but at least it's off your To-Read list!

I dread to think what its going to be like after xmas, i have avoided the recommendations page for a little while now trying desperately not to increase my to read list! But i'm losing that battle! Lol!
I lost that battle a long time ago, in fact I now have a second list of to-read books that I'm MORE excited to read than everything else on my list lol

@SeleneThanks for your picking!
I've finished
yesterday and I really loved it. I could't stop reading and I am glad you chose this one.
Only a couple more days left in the month, how's everyone doing? Hopefully your partner picked a good one for you, if not at least it is off your to-read list!
Omg I bet I'm too late for this but maybe I can start in Jan? :') It all seems to make things more exciting and also less pressure on me for which book I'm going to pick!
Of course! I can add you and we will start on the first! I'll leave a list of partners here and I message everyone as well. Also if anyone else wants in just say so here and if you want to drop out let me know too!!
o goodness gracious, I just finished my pick-a-book selection
and I am in love, it was so FANTASTIC. Thank you so much Laura for your awesome pick!!!! I'm so happy for this thread, I probably would have continued to put this book off had it not been for this, so I'm excited to see what I can tackle for next month!!!The Infernal Devices is definitely a must read!

I only just started reading mine yesterday, and I know for sure that I won't get it finished in time.: (
That's alright just post when you finished, I know December was a supper busy month for people with the holidays, I know I was at least!
Kathy wrote: "If your anything like me, you have either have a stack of books or a long list on your e-reader of titles you've bought, borrowed, or won that never seem to get read. This "game" is to get you moti..."I'm SO in this game late, but since January begins tomorrow, I'd love for someone to partner with me, and I with her! My only ask--if I'm permitted to do so--is if to find reads with solid, compelling male lead characters (since I write YA for males). Apart from that, I'm pretty open.
Finishing Personal Effects and looking forward to beginning Beautiful Disaster when done with this. Looks like it scored some good reviews, so it's on my next-to-read (and always growing!) list.
Happy New Year!

I just finished reading my December book, , and it was fantastic! Now I understand why it still has a wait list at the library. Vendea, thanks so much for picking this one! Now on to the sequel!

Okay, here's how this works.
At the beginning of every month you'll get a partner that will pick a book from your designated list for you to read. YOU will also be picking a book for them off of whichever list they decide. You have all month to read it (not too much pressure?) and then let us know what you thought about it and would you recommend it.
Here's a couple things to keep in mind:
1. I can keep a continuous list of people that decide to participate from month-to-month, but if you feel you can't do it for a particular month then just let me know. You can always join again later or drop out if needed.
2. If a person has a series of books on their list (i.e. # 6, 7 and 8), don't be a wise-@ss and pick 8
3. When you tell us what you thought, careful not to give spoilers away!!!
I think that's all I can think of for now, but if you have any questions feel free to ask, comment or suggest any tweaks to the game. And if you want to join then leave a message saying your in and we can start in December!!!
