The Beach
Tamara walked along the beach, loving the sand between her toes. Growing up in Idaho meant that she didn't get to go to the beach. She breathed in the air, closing her eyes as the breeze blew past her. While she missed her family, she loved her freedom. She could do what she wanted without someone telling her not to.
Lyra padded down to the beach and sat at the water's edge feeling the cool seawater lick her paws. She flicked her tongue out and tasted the salty sea air. She loved the ocean.
Kalika sat on the sand. Her head rested in her hands. It had been awhile since she had met Zack, but she couldn't get him out of her mind. She felt something inside her that she had never felt before. She cursed herself as her fangs slid out due to her anxiety.
Alex roamed along the sandy beach, he had his hands in his pockets. He laid down face-first in the sand about a yard away from Kalika.
Kalika saw Alex and tilted her head curiously. She instantly felt her faangs slid up into her gums. She didn't want to scare someone off. She pushed herself to her feet in a human way, trying to hide the fact that she was not human in any way except her heart's feelings and emotions. She walked over to him. "Um, hi."
Alex looked up slightly and then quickly scrambled onto his knees."Sorry, I hadn't realized someone else was here,"he shooked his hea.d
Kalika said "Oh, I didn't mean to startle you or anything."
Peter reached the shore, and took off his jacket and shirt, then he dove in the cool water. "This is awesome!" he told himself.
Kalika heard Peter and looked at Alex apologetically. "I have to go." and got up and briskly ran to the waters edge and dove in. She swam out to Peter. "I heard you got the bite."
"Yeah, being stuck at 15 forever will be a downer." he paused "At least I'm not a mutt." he told her.
Kalika said "Don't even get me started on those filthy dogs." She smiled. "At least now I don't feel obliged to save you all the time now."
Peter laughed a little "I kind of promised not to kill humans, but I need blood." Peter got an idea, he went under the water for about a minute, and came back up with two fish? "Thirsty?" before he knew it, he sucked both fish clean. "Guess I need a shark." he shrugged.
Kalika shuddered. "Fish blood isn't gonna get you anywhere. You're gonna need human blood. You don't have to kill them though."
"Probably." but I heard it's hard for a newblood to contain themselves with people. "I'll figure it out, eventually." Peter dove back down under the water.
Kalika waded in the water. She then dove under after him.
Peter saw a scuba diver, stuck on an anchor. He motioned to Kalika. He was gonna get this guy.
Peter dove and bit into the scuba diver's neck. He loved the blood, but left after one bite. He then left the guy for the coming sharks.
Kalika swam down after and looked at the diver
Peter looked down, after reaching the surface. "Fine, she can have that guy." Got to find the boat that threw the anchor.
Kalika gave the diver one last look then swam to the surface
Peter stared at Kalika for a little while, his thirst driving him insane. He needed to change the topic. "So, how old are you, really?" he asked her.
"Great idea jumping in the water, werewolf!" Peter yelled out, as he saw the wolf struggling to swim. Peter couldn't help but laugh as he watched the idiotic wolf trod out. Peter was at least a 100 feet away.
Kalika watched the wolf. She didn't recognize it.
"He's new in town." Peter told Kalika. "Works at the Starbucks, guess we can't get muffins from there anymore." He shrugged and dove back down in the water.
Moon scented Peter. Se growled and lunged into the water after him. She got him and dragged him up to the surface. "You need to learn how to control yourself!" She spat.
((OK Emma, it's just a proven fact that wolves can't swim very good, especially in this RP))"Oh yeah moon?" Peter asked. "I haven't killed a single dang person."
Kalika watched Moon with narrowed eyes
"I don't care. Your not used to yourself." She hissed at Peter. She dove under the water and pulled up a fish. She bit into it and watched as the blood trickled out of the wound.
Kalika snarled at Moon, bearing her fangs. She disliked Moon immensely. She spat angrily "Filthy dogs!" She then lunged at Moon, ready to kill
"I don't need your guidance, Jet." Peter told the wolf. "And besides, I used to be scared of the bloodsuckers, but now I'm not. You know why? Because everyday, they have to deal with this undying thirst." He looked over at Moon, "Besides, she's the one that turned me, and death isn't an option. That's not what you're implying to, are you?" Peter wasn't really worried, his new-blood strength would rip this wolf to shreds. "Make your move, wolf."
Moon snarled and dodged Kalika. Se pointed to Jet. "He's the werewolf you idiot!" She hissed.
"So what are you going to do now? Huh? Kill me? So what do you do Moon, your saying, you've never, killed a human. In your entire life, never hurt somebody." Peter was furious, he reached for his backpack, his backpack! Probably still in the forest, or it fell off between then, when he ran around the city.
Kalika said to Moon. "You're just as bad. Things like you are sickening to look at, let alone smell. We may be the same species," she spat "but we are nothing alike." She then riveted her attention to Jet. "You on the other hand, are as stupid as her. You think all of us are so terrible and cold blooded killers, but you are wrong. In fact, I'd look for the skeletons in your own closets. We all know you wolves have a temper. "
Kalika hissed. "I don't kill those I drink from. I don't turn them either. They continue to live. I won't deny I've killed. However, I only kill if necessary or accidentally. And, again, it's been a long time since I have. I know how to control myself. If I didn't, we wouldn't be having a conversation right now."
"Enough of this bull! All of you, please, just shut up! We all know that everyone here has hurt another person, and no one here should deny it. At some point or another." His thirst was growing, "And who are you people, to tell me how to live my life. I'm 15 years old! You think I'm just gonna say, sure, end my life before I turn into a vampire?" His thirst was killing him.
Mom growled at Kalika. "I asked him if he want to stay human. He could have stayed human if he want to. It wasn't my choice!" She growled. " and you know you just pissed me off. I'm sick of everyone saying how sick I look. You know what I am sick of being blind. I'm sick of people caring for me, you want to know why I'm still blind, because the venom never got to my eyes, it just change my body and that's it. I'm sick of being blind and helpless." She pointed to her tiger Khan who had just come on the beach. He was rolling in the sand. "I am sick of having a big fat lazy tiger telling me what to do where to go, leading me around like I'M the pet." She growled. Khan looked at her and thumped his tail on the ground twice. Moon turned towards her tiger. "Us of course I'm sorry I called you fat and lazy." She turned back towards Kalika. "My life has been nothing but do this and do that. I don't want to do that anymore." Moon growled.
"That's not our fault!" Peter yelled at Moon. "Besides, you seem to be getting by fine, you did run all over the forest and were capable of biting me, so the blindness certainly isn't slowing you down." Peter decided to get some more blood, he dove into the beach waters and started swimming deeper into the water.
"Still everyone cares for me and I'm sick of it." She growled.
Kalika laughed. "Yeah, right. I doubt that, dog. Everyone's hurt someone, even if it isn't physical. "
Alex listened into Kalika's conversation, he walked up to them."Is there a problem here?"he asked, running his fingers through his hair. His eyes narrowed at the vampires and he crossed his arms.
Nix walked up, recognizing Alex but ignored him as she walked up beside Jet.
Peter came back to the shore with nothing but a small red stain on his lips. "We've all been through our own problems, OK? Can we just leave this conversation?" he stated to the group of misfits.
Kalika turned towards Peter. "No, not really." then turned back to Jet and the newly arrived Nix and Alex. She said "I don't want. Fight with you dogs." to Jrt. She then flashed a fanged smile. "However, I don't appreciate your assumptions of our lack of control."
Nix looked at Jet and the others, she was definitely taking no part in this argument. She stepped back, making it clear she was not saying anything on the subject.
Moon growled. "You won't get closed to killing us. But we may get wounded in the process." Moon hissed at Jet. She wanted him to know that he was going to have a very hard time killing them.
Kalika snorted. "Just like the rest of your kind. All bark and no bite." she sneered
"Listen, let's just drop this stupid argument, both sides have their own faults." His thirst was unbearable. "Moon, Kalika, you guys will have to show me how to control my thirst, please."
Alex glared at Kalika."Who do you think you fang-faces think you are, anyways?"He snapped and uncrossed his arms, his eyes darted to Nix as if seeking help and then back at Kalika, "All you guys do is kill innocent people, and all we try to do is seek peace. As far as I know you guys are the ones all causing very problem there is."
