Dawn walked around, unsure of what she should practice on. She wasn't to good with climbing, but someone else was there. She watched the other tributes practice.
Julian looked around. He decided to stand in the shadows and watch what everyone does. There would be a time to train, but for now he needed to know who was a threat.
Gage looked around. He felt nervous. He didn't really think that he should have gotten chosen. Another boy should have volunteered. They always did, but he was chosen instead and this time, no one spoke up. He sighed. Oh well. It was his turn.
Dexter sized up the tributes. He decided to do a poison/ health lesson since the game makers said that a lot of the tributes would not die from murders, possibly even from poisonous items in the arena.
Julian saw how all the tributes possessed great skill. He decided to stick with ones that could be good companions. The girl from his district could slow him down, but he liked her style. Rain was fast. he decided to walk over to Dawn. "Practice makes perfect," he said smiling sweetly.
"Hello. How are you? I saw you climbing and you are very good if I may say." He stared into her eyes. They were very pretty.
Gage turned and headed to the climbing station. From working with his dad, he had some really good muscles, especially in his upper body.
Julian looked over at Gage. He was huge. He did not want to get on his bad side. unless he had a bow."Hi," he said to Gage.
Gage looked over at Julian. "Hey," he said simply and then looked up at the ropes. He stretched his arms above his head.
Dexter noticed Julian talking to Gage and Rain. Hmmm, I wonder if an alliance is forming, he thought. A group of Careers in the Careers Arena. He chuckled to himself.
"District 3. I'm glad to get out of there. Soooo, um, I was thinking. In the arena we are going to need alliances. Do you want to form one? Others could join. Maybe two others. I like Gage, but he may take too much charge in the group." His voice was a whisper now.
" Well sometimes the smallest can be the best. What skills do you have? I can shoot a bow, and I know how to survive on the forest. I also love a good knife."
"We'll." She said shyly. "I'm fast, I'm good at climbing, and I'm good at finding food. But..." She paused. "I'm not the killing person. I can't even kill an animal." Rain said.
" I can kill. I don't want to, but I will to survive and protect people I care for. You watch out for us and gather. I'll hunt and kill.
He smiled at her. "So, let's climb and you tell me more about yourself. I'll do the same." He smiled at her happily. "You're pretty. Did you know that?"
(( i looked at your profile. Sorrryyyyy!!!!! i feel so bad. I should have known you were a girl. Sorry again. ))
Gage jumped up into the net, using his arms to lift himself into a hanging position on the upside down portion.
((No it's fine))Rain looked way shyly. "No, I don't see anyone but my brothers everyday in my district. And there big fat jerks and don't tell me anything."
Gage climbed across the ropes with ease and then jumped do the ground. Not many things in the training area was gonna help him much. Maybe he should go check the plants station.
Gage heard what the boy just said. He raised an eyebrow, his back to them so they couldn't see his expression. This was just going to be a really awkward Games.
He pulled Rain close. "We need to try and get Gage to help us," he whispered. "Follow my lead... Hey Gage! Come here!"
Gage slowly turned and looked at Julian and Rain. Oh great. Now he was holding her close to his side. He hesitated and then sauntered over. "Yeah?" He asked. He was usually a man of few words.
