Katya smiled."Sorry I didn't let you know I was coming, Professor," she said, "But I thought I should let you know; from now on, I'll be assisting you with Spy Training classes."
She smiled again, still hardly believing the news she had heard on a phone call on her way back from the book store.
"Water will do fine, thanks," she replied. "Well, I went to a meeting, but they seemed sceptical... I just got a phone call from the CIA now, saying they were impressed..." Katya couldn't hide her happiness.
"This might mean that I can stop working in the book store; I like it there, but this is where I want to be. It'll be good for the twins, too."
"Thanks," she thanked him, sipping the water."Yes, I sure will," she agreed. "My kids come first."
She smiled. Katya could imagine being able to afford nicer things for her kids - she had never been wealthy and appreciated what she had, but wished, for her children's sakes, that she would do well at the job.
Katya laughed a little."Well," she said with a shrug, "you probably are."
She blushed then, and laughed slightly nervously again.

She had changed and fixed her hair, and was eager to speak to Joe. She had always just seen him as a teacher, but now they'd be working side by side.
