This is a list to be used for those struggling to think of twelve (or more for the ambitious) different Australian speculative fiction authors. This list is not the be all and end all, I encourage readers and writers alike to add any applicable names to the discussion. The more the merrier!

I've been terrible - haven't even started. However, I do have Trent Jamieson's Business of Death trilogy, so I can start that. Well, I've read 2 before (signed) but they stopped selling it individually, so :( face. But I'm intrigued - I want to know how it ends.

I hate it when you can't find the last few volumes of a series, I've spent years trawling through second hand bookstores for particular volume.

Also, don't worry if you're behind, it's still early in the year, plenty of time to catch-up :D

I already had Marianne De Pierres (I think Belinda would have ritualistically slaughtered me if I'd forgotten her ;p ) but the others are all new to the list. Thanks for helping grow the list.

As for Trent's Death works series... judging by the FB pic he put up earlier today there may be another one in the pipeline. I am very happy indeed.

Hi, new to the group. I run two book clubs in Melbourne (sci-fi fantasy and paranormal romance), and every January for the sci-fi group we read Australian authors (1 x Science Fiction, 1 x Fantasy, 1 x Urban Fantasy) so I’ll confess I’m here to stalk some author ideas for my group.

Love your name list. That will be a great help.
