I thought this was a fantastic collection of essays and still totally relevant today. Almost nothing has changed. This needs to be republished in a popular edition so that more people can read it.

I was thinking more of an actual book that a browsing reader could come across if they didn't know about it already.
Haven't had either in many years but Hydrox were better. I too would separate the creme from the cookie. I never understood Double Stuf; I want more cookie, not more...stuf.
I think that was the one issue I disagreed with him on. I don't question his taste; most if not all of the films he talks about are awful. But I don't think the violence "means" anything. Maybe there is a vicariousness to watching it but it's not real, nor does it translate to any kind of desire in reality.
